    Okay, here are the rules:

    Vote on the following matchups, using your own criteria on who would win in a battle to the death between the two. Remember, whoever is the higher seed (in this case, the lower the number, the higher the seed) has the home field advantage. What does this mean? It means that Freddy Krueger gets to fight his opponents in the dream world (if he is the higher seed) and Agent Smith gets to fight his opponents inside the Matrix.

    Voting is for the West and Southeast Regions, First Round and you have to get your vote to me by 9:00 A.M., CST Wednesday, November 12. You can vote by either posting in this thread or by emailing me at jfyoung@charter.net. In case there is a tie, whoever I voted for wins the tiebreaker.

    Here are my votes:

    West matchups:

    Damian, since he is the Anti-Christ, basically controls Jack Torrance and in this matchup he controls Jack to kill himself.
    Grendel's Mother, who is more fearsome than Grendel, pulls off a minor upset over the huge (and Andre the Giant lookalike) Jaws.
    The Juggernaut wins in a cakewalk over Norman Bates, who gets a bad draw here. Juggy hits the transvestite and sends him sailing out of this galaxy.
    King Kong likewise wins easily in a huge mismatch over the psychopathic taxi driver, Travis Bickle.
    Dr. Doom is able to handle the demonic dog, Cujo with ease.
    After tearing off most of the T1000, the Birds finally give up and fly away, thus giving the T1000 the victory by default.
    Sinestro, using his yellow power ring, is able to solve the curse of the Mummy.
    And Godzilla in a cakewalk over the wannabe transsexual killer, Buffalo Bill.

    Southeast matchups:

    Agent Smith wins easily over the hapless O.J. Simpson.
    In a tough battle, The Kurgan somehow outlasts the shapeless and formless Blob.
    Boba Fett has little problems with Dr. Henry Jekyll.
    Magneto breezes to a win over the Milwaukee Monster aka Jeffrey Dahmer.
    Billy the Kid provides a stirring upset as he is too quick for Leatherface.
    The Alien is too strong for the Green Goblin although it is closer than you might think.
    Bullseye, who never misses (unless it is daredevil) is able to take out Grendel.
    And the Terminator wins in no contest over Ted Bundy.

    8 - Jaws (from the James Bond movies) - tough to beat Jaws at home...the teeth are so intimidating

    5 - The Juggernaut - ?

    4 - King Kong - pure size rules this match

    6 - Dr. Doom - ultrasonic noise emitter worn by Dr. Doom easily takes care of Cujo

    3 - T1000 (from "Terminator 2" - the Robert Patrick version) - easy to swat birds away and kill them

    7 - The Mummy - the dead are always hard to kill

    2 - Godzilla - never killed, no known weaknesses

    1 - Agent Smith - White Bronco or no white Bronco...OJ is not fast enough

    9 - The Blob - minor upset...The Blob can ooze you to death.

    5 - Boba Fett - space weapons are always handy

    4 - Magneto - no shot for Dahmer

    6 - Leatherface - bullets have no effect

    3 - The Alien - extra set of teeth always come in handy

    7 - Bullseye (from "Daredevil") - just a guess

    2 - The Terminator (Arnold Schwarzeggner (sp?) version) - Al Bundy might create an upset...Ted?...no.

    Before I submit my votes a question on Agent Smith. Being that he'll have home field throughout.......from which movie does he come from? If it's 2 and three he's almost unstopable!! I mean 10000+ Smith's would be damn hard to stop bar none!!!! Even if it's the 1st movie I don't see him getting much challenge, but at least he'd be only one!
