    East - Second Round

    1 - Darth Vader

10 - Darth Maul - Jason just can't beat the dark side. I just dont see it happening

9 - Grendel's Mother - tough match - but in the end GM knows how to pull the edge, just like moms do. Somehow they always do.

    5 - Juggernaut

    2 - Godzilla

    Southeast - Second Round

    1 - Agent Smith

    4 - Magneto

You still have until 1 this afternoon, CST, to get your vote in if you want to participate in this.

Reminder - sweet 16 will be posted on Monday (probably as soon as I get up as I probably will have no time once I get to work).

hmm, I think I am changing my mind on a couple of mine.

I think the blob would beat agent smith, but I couldnt figure out how, so i didnt just say blob wins. I needed and explanation, well now I have the explanation on how the blob wins.

    as previously posted
"Smith tries to copy himself over Blob and is eaten at the touch". and hundreds of smiths wollow to their eventual disolve. Thr blob is like a giant sobig virus

also i was thinking how damian could loose. I dont think he should, but it makes sense that a Child, Damian could never loose to a mother. GM simply grounds Damian and its over. Its like some kind of rule of nature.

We had some very close matchups and some upsets, but here is your sweet 16 villain field:

    Darth Vader
    Freddy Krueger
    Dracula
    Darth Maul
    Damian
    King Kong
    T1000
    Godzilla
    Agent Smith
    Magneto
    The Alien
    The Terminator
    Pennywise
    Khan
    The Predator
    Lex Luthor

Agent Smith barely beat the Blob and Darth Maul provides a shocking upset over Jason. Even more shocking was Lex Luthor's complete domination of HAL (Luthor won by a count of 9-4).

The Sweet 16 matchups will be posted early Monday morning and voting will last until sometime Wednesday afternoon.

How is home field going to be determined after the regionals in the event of tied seeds? Neutral ground?

I'm picking Smith go all the way now, if he can stay in the Matrix. The Blob was mankind's last hope. ;)

Neutral ground I think is the best way to go.

Magneto is going to be a pretty formidable opponent, not only for Smith but for any machine.
