Houston-in-LA - Sorry man I couldn't make the Lakers game due to a prior engagement but man it would be great if the Rockets would beat LA so I too can brag back at my friends : ) glynch - Thanks I really like to be as accurate as possible so I write quick notes during the game, I even record my own stats on certain players. The only thing that bothers me is that the final box scores never seem to match my notes when I am almost positively certain that my stats are correct on certain players. What's even more strange is that I even write down the points of players from the arena's scoreboard and they don't always match the posted final box scores on the internet from the games. Yes all three Torres, Brown and Maddox are having shining moments. Thanks again! rfrocket - Yep Eddie did intimidate many shots but the most impressive thing that I observed on Griffin is that he doesn't get intimidated himself. In this game Stoudemire was really pushing and shoving and on some plays just being really aggressive backing it in (very similar to how Barkey uses his pure body and power backing in and Stoudemire even does the hard dribbling while backing it thing too like barkley) and this is just scary to me, I would be teriffied if a player keep shoving me hard and throwing his arms and shoulder all over the place and there where some times in this game where I though Griffin must be alittle intimidated by this and the fact that Stoudemire is dunking so hard over him but Griffin just has that calm look and demeanor and just fights back for position and rebounds not intimidated at all and goes in and post up on Stoudemire calmly puting up shots without even hesitating. It's true the stats really don't show how well Stoudemire got inside, he could of easily gotten 20pts if he didn't dunk even shot so hard (it's like he has a thing against the basket, like it's his worst enemy and he wants to pulverize it). Giffin was great at holding Stoudemire when he posted up just when Stoudemire faced the basket and drove to the basket for dunks Griffin had a hard time moving with him. Thanks for complement that's so cool that someone thinks their Lucky to have me here. Swami - Thanks, so many people here are so shock too that I'm a huge Rocket fan. They always ask me why, so I tell them because there no. 1! EddieWasSnubbed - Yep Mark Madsen is the Lakers PF, but in these games even though he's a real Laker player he doesn't start in these games but he is a huge fan favorite (I think because he dances really funny (kind of like pee wee herman style) and because he speaks spanish during the celebrations he's always saying things in spanish like quatro meaning 4 for next season's run, I think that's so cool that he does this becuase it really shows that players care about everyone even those that don't understand what anyone's saying like me when I first came here from Asia so he translate it for them, it really gets the crowd pump like this past season he keep saying quatro, and the crowd would put up 4 fingers and yell back quatro, and he keep doing it like 5 times and the crowd just keep getting louder and then shaq started rapping put your 4's in the air like you just don't care... Madsen also called Mad Dog. ROCKET!!! - Griffin is playing like he's an allstar here making shots with so much confidence, I'm starting to think this isn't a lucky streak but is just a normal thing to him. It's like he has that feeling of where he knows he can take over a game. He's just dominating the boards, tipping everything that comes his way. It's almost automatic, when the rebound comes his direction it's almost a sure thing that he's getting it. By the way that is so cool that you talked to him. KALIKULI - Collier just doesn't seem to have the confidence in him, but he definitely has the determination to play well. He really looks healthy and looks like he really want to do good. Kind of like he feels he's not the best but trying the best he can. I really feel for the guy. Morris definitely shows signs of improvement and shines in some areas such as defense and passing. In warmups his shots are falling like throwing a rock in to the sea standing 1 ft away from the water, they are all hitting but in the games they aren't, I don't know why really. bigboymumu - Collier looks excited and determined. In the warmups he's constantly working on posting up moves but in the games he's taking jumpers. He really looses his confidence during the games. So bad that sometimes he's fighting guards for rebounds when he should just be taking them with autority. I wish he had more an attitude like look I'm a 7'0 center and rebounding is my job so don't try nothing funny you shorty guard. NIKEstrad - Collier is rebounding but a couple of times the opponent's guards would just get a hand on the ball while Collier has it in his hands and knock it out. He difinitely looks like he could play 40mins a game out there, very healthy running the court and all. RocksMillenium - Yep that's one thing I notice is that Griffin is working on his weaknesses, it seems like he's not thinking like other younger players that think they can just get by with that he already have and not work on improving. He really looks like he wants to be special. The major things on his game that i notice is he's actually dribbling more working on getting closer to the basket with the ball in his hand and holding his ground better. DearRock - definitely Griffin is the go to guy in the summer leagues but like last season Sean Colson was the go to guy and that didn't really make much difference but I think this will definitely help him get more looks in the offense this season but Cat and Franchise get my vote for the regular season's go to players. Rocketblast - I like Torres more, though IA is scoring more it's mostly becuase he pops it more everytime he touches it. Torres doesn't look like he's trying to impress anyone with offensive burst just playing his game in to the flow. leebigez - Yep I definitely remember Taylor being way more slim when he was a clipper, but he wears big clothes makes him look bigger too. candlegreen - Me too, I was really excited looking forward to seeing how Nachbar would do in these games. Stylez - Yep I like Maddox more in terms of setting things up and getting players open for shots but Brown is much more skilled offensively and maybe even a noticeable more better in handling and dribbling. But he reminds me of Sean Colson of last season's summer games. Colson too scored a ton of points and dribbled well in traffic but he didn't really get others involved quickly. Maddox in the Suns game really got players set up with open looks (some of the players could take as long as 3-4 seconds to shoot if they wanted on some of the plays). Also Maddox put full court pressure constantly on the opponent's PG using his height and size very well and kept up with the speed of the smaller players with ease. He even played Joe Johnson well at times of switches on defense and Johnson is 6'8 while Maddox is 6-4. If Brown was just 2 or 3 inches taller he would he a superb SG IMHO he has such great speed with the ball in his hands and gets to the basket almost at will in these games. In times such as clutch when the score is close and the game is slowed down Brown is better for use. Also Brown is great at the pick and roll esp with Griffin in these games.
