Great clip of George Foreman's kids eat with Yao and TMac & Deke at Yao's resturant. Very funny to see guys learning to use chopstick.
There's a little segment on the Yao Dinner at the beginning of this full game torrent Rox vs Sonics 04/11/05
thanks r2k, and thanks everybody else for keeping active links up!! http://s37.yousendit.com/d.aspx?id=3HJLC3F625PPQ3KV3LWSRMHK0A
the game torrent is 697M...the feature story(which there is every game) is around 3.5 minutes. If you had downloaded the game when the swrm was at its peak(around 2MB/s)..you could have had it in around 2-3 hours. Now..the main server seed is off and the swarm speed is dependent on the individual seeds still online. If you didnt get to see the game...it is ALWAYS worth getting it...otherwise how can you make reliable and accurate comments on the Rockets play?
Rockets2K is absolutely right. Some people just saw the highlight and did not see the little things that matters in the game.
I did not see this game. I have seen almost every other game though, with the exception of 5 or 6 games (out of 78). What comment did I make that you feel was not warranted because I didn't watch the game?
none...I was making a in-general point about some that might think they can get all their info from highlight clips and box scores. I dont pussyfoot around...if I intend a statement to be directed at someone...I direct it at them...
Ok, just gotta express appreciation again to R2K for doing this for us. I don't know of any other BBS sites that have any members voluntarily do this for their fellow fans. Double appreciation for this game because I missed it. These full game torrents though are starting to add up and I'm running out of disk space (I didn't have much to begin with). Has anybody tried to compress these files? How much disk space do you save when you compress? Half the file size? I tried once with a larger file (3.65 GB) but the time remaining to complete compression showed 1 day! I just aborted.
the games were purposefully set at 700mb to make it convienient (sp?) to burn onto a cd. if you are proposing to further compress the avi to a smaller file size I highly recommend against it. the file has been compressed once already from a file that is several gigs (r2k is the only one that knows how big the uncompressed capture is, but i am guessing its at least 8 gigs) to further compress would result in a blotchy file. if you are running out of disc space, burn the older games onto cd or if there is a game or two you do not wish to see again (like the NO game for example) delete it. or just buy another hard drive for your pc, you can get an 80gb drive or larger for really cheap nowadays. oh yeah thanks again r2k for the games and the clips
Your didn't make a general point. You replied to my quote and said that I should watch the game in order to make good points.
Thanks for the heads up on the end result of compressing those files, didn't realize it would affect quality that much. The PC is a laptop, so adding another HD is not an option. I like to keep the games on the HD so I can watch them while I'm away from home. I'll probably explore the option of burning them to CD later but right now I like it where I have direct access to them without futzing for any CDs. I do have a USB External HD but I'm kicking myself for not getting the firewire plus USB version because I am just realizing how long it takes to transfer files via USB. It was basically a choice of getting the same External HD but one was a 250GB USB only and the other was a 200GB firewire/USB version; both were the same price. I chose the extra disk space, I should have chosen transfer speed given the size of files I want to transfer.
I can't believe I have to explain this....fairly new to message boards are ya? its called using one post to make multiple statements...a fairly common practice among message board veterans I initially repsonded to yours to answer your question about the feature story length... I then used part of your question(is it worth downloading the full game) to reiterate a statement I have made numerous times before....that even if it is a ugly game or a loss or whatever....it is ALWAYS a good idea to watch them if you(not speficially you, but you in the general sense) intend on attempting to debate and discuss the team's play on this board since you(once again, you as used in a general sense) can't glean all you need to know from stat sheets and highlight reels. If you cant understand what I am saying....then I dont know what to tell you...are we nursing a guilty conscience or something? Yoyoi...nailed it bro....average captured game is around 7-8G edited...thanks for helping cover questions..
I understand what you're saying. However, nobody else but me stated that I didn't watch the game. So, it would be more appropriate if you made your "general statement" when more than one person talked about not watching the game.
Finally I can download this highlights, thanks macfan and waelhakmeh re-upload the file for us! Here is my contribution: http://s13.yousendit.com/d.aspx?id=1VKETWW1LXUMI24A3PLD4OQOO5
Rockets2K, thanks for the video, I for one really appreciate the extra footage you put in front of the game, which shows off court stuff with the Rockets. Such as charity event, dinner at Yao restaurant etc. A suggestion: Trim the highlight clip right after the game in the full game torrent and save some more quality for the game, since we'll be watching full game I don't think we need highlight at the end.
Do you need to download the whole torrent file before you can view these clips? I tried to view the Grizzlies game as the file is downloading and it says it is corrupt. Or is it because I need a different codec or media player? I am using Real Please help me out
