are you connected on a broadband link?(cable, dsl, etc) if so....are you connected to a router/firewall between your computer and your cable/dsl modem? if so....you should be able ot access the configuration utility for the router/firewall and do a port forward.....you need to know the IP address of your computer....go to the port forwarding page of your router configuration utility and forward ports 6881 thru 7000(just to ensure you have plenty of ports for peer connections) and point those ports to your computer... also....if using a software firewall on your computer...check to ensure it isnt restricting your torrent upload/download. something to keep iin mind....your upload speed will be significantly lower than your download speed....on residential cable...if oyu get 45-50Kbs you are maxed out.
Of course I have a new problem now..... I finally got the torrent thing to work somehow. I was very pleased. Now I have several of our game's highlights safely on desktop, but now they won't play. Anyone know of a codec or driver or something like that that will help me play these? I've tried everything that microsoft's web page has offered to no avail. I'll try Azureus' web page now. Thanks to anyone that can help.
Alright.... the latest is that I got the Blazers game working, but some of the older games are not working. The highlights look good again R2K. I really appreciate it.
I figured out my problem. The files were appeared to be fully downloaded to my desktop, but the files were shown to be otherwise in Azureus. Problem solved and thanks again.
First.... IF you are having problems playing the files...you need the Xvid codec....google "Koepi" "Xvid binary" and download it from his page.. Second.... The games are not stored in a central location that is available full time....if you want one that is older...you need to request the specific one so that someone that still has it can re-open their program to seed it for you. which ones do you need? I cant see dthem right now since Im about to be the primary seed for the Blazers game torrent due out in a hour or so...but maybe someone else will seed until I can free up my bandwidth.
for future reference....when I finish the highlights the night of the games...I always post it in the game thread..then when I post the full game...I include the link to the highlights there also... alwasy check the game thread the morning after....if I have it done...it is there.
