questions... questions.... QUESTIONS!!!! A full basketball game is about 1.5 hours. If you capture that amount of video and audio, it makes a friggin' huge file. So, compression must be applied to reduce the file size. The more you compress, the less quality you get. Now, it could be comressed down to about 4 gig, so that it would fit nicely on a DVD and have decent quality, but with all the people who have problems with downloads and seeds at the current size of 700 meg, can you imagine how many people here would fuss about a 4 gig file? So why was 700 meg chosen? probably because it fits nicely on a CD and is of acceptable quality. Also remember that these were taped on a VCR more than ten years ago. ktvoss, I don't mean to be rude, but please Google your questions and try to find your own answers before posting them here.
yes...the awesome dood we get these from is a Aussie. drox seems to have handled many of the questions(thanks drox), soIll just say that I fully endorse the answers.(including the one about the chosen filesize) remember....we dont mind answering questions(at least I dont anyway)...but before you ask,,,try to google them since it will help you in many cases.
I'm an aussie too, These were the first NBA games I ever watched, I have followed the Rockets ever since! Thanks heaps guys.
that seems to be a common element in when alot of our Down Unda fans started watching the Rockets. I guess we have Ten to thank for that. even if they do have a disturbing tendency to come back out of timeouts late..
