One of the greatest defensive performances I can think of. They completely took the Cav's out of their game and shut down James. Is their any doubt to Battier's worth now? Between him and Artest it was amazing!!
That second video is my favorite. It was just nasty. I love it when Yao tries dunking on people instead of trying to lay it up.
Yao has gotten a whole lot better at dunking rather than laying up. Haven't really seen him lay it up in a while...
battier is definitely looking more valuable everyday. I dont think Gay would bring anymore than what Wafer already is...
I'll admit I bashed Battier a lot earlier in the season along with 80% of the board. However, he finally looks to be at or near 100% health wise. He's been moving and playing a whole heckuva lot better. I hope he keeps it up.
battier sucked earlier in the season, and i thought and still believe that had to so with his recovery from injury. his physical conditions are getting better obviously. lucky for us. i know it's meaningless, but sometimes i just can't help but think, damn, only if mcgrady did his rehab like shane did...
i have never seen lebron played so tough before than last night, whats impressive was the zero assists and the 6ft attempts. he hardly got into the paint and looked bothered the entire night. A wonderful performance by Battier and Artest last night it seems that these two are starting to really click together defensively. I am anxious to see what they will do with Kobe. Kobe has yet to face both Artest and Battier this season he has only had to do deal with one or the other (due to injuries)
I thought Lebron's defense was supposed to be super duper now? Ron had Lebron looking like he was wearing concrete sneakers last night a couple of times. If Lebron is such a defensive force why didn't he know the Ron likes to go left? And Battier was great. You can tell he has been watching film because on the one charge he took from Lebron on the spin move he was there waiting before Lebron knew what he was going to do.
the king can do no wrong, you know. well at least the media depicts it as such... seriously, 'bron is an amazing all-time talent, but so far everything comes to him too easy. i just feel somewhere down the road it's gonna balance out a bit.
Have seen him blow a large number of dunk attempts too.... But thank god, that didn't happen last night.
Nice videos! On the Yao block/Wafer three sequences I was basically running around my house screaming. Plus, how great was it to see Yao punking down LeBron?
I think Yao is playing really smart these days. He knows how to pace himself and to make sure he doesn't get any injuries. This is why he sometimes chooses to lay it in rather than dunk. Because against weaker teams he doesn't want to risk getting hurt or wasting too much energy early on.
