A few other plays I liked: His spin move for a dunk and a foul around Robert Horry, dunking on Malik Rose, in a preseason game. You could hear someone yelling "Help! Help help!" in the background. Yao levelling Gary Payton with a pick in the playoffs. I think Payton was actually airborne that play. Yao grabbing a rebound with one hand (someone had pinned his other arm down) then throwing it down while Gasol was cowering away from the rim. His block of a Bonzi Wells power dunk at the rim. Him driving Ratliff underneath the basket, dunking on him, then turning around and screaming as he went back up court. Him tip-toe-ing on the baseline around Ratliff for a crucial late-game layup. I didn't think he had space, but he found a way. Yao crossing someone over (Casey Jacobsen?) from the 3 point line for a basket to beat the shot clock.
This is like the funniest play I have ever seen. GP got totally laid out, it was like a football play. I also liked the play he did in the Olympics where he threw it down or swatted a shot and started beating his chest. I think everyone who saw that was liike, wtf?
That dunk over Theo was my favorite! I think that was Yao's first tech too. Yep! That was a good one too! It should have been included.
Legend.... a favor please? your Dream video was brought up in the other thread...adn none of the links work anymore............would you contact me so I can host it longterm with my other vids? thanks...
Thanks. I have a question for you guys. Would you rather a bigger yao with less agility and speed (like he is right now) or would you rather him be more like how he was in his rookie year? We saw so much more moves in his rookie year but he was way more skinner than he is now.
seeing some of those things made me miss the old yao who had a passing game and stuff....he was a bit more flashy back then.
I tried to find it on my server, but it's not there anymore, I will try to find it on my computer when I get home.
Is it called Hakeem Mx? I got that video...lemme upload it real quick... EDIT: http://www.fahadmp.com/stuff/Rockets/Hakeem Mx.wmv I don't know if this is Legend's but as always right click, save as
got it...Im downloading Kaiser's link...and Ill have it hosted for the forseeable future. Boki does a number on the Lakers in Game 4(in high Quality mpg) Yao lays out Payton...poor guy didnt even see it coming.
DW, Yao has lost some weight due to his flu. They said he got around 290. I think somewhere around 300 is a good playing weight for Yao. Not 310. It's better that he be on the floor for 31-35 minutes, all quarters, only get 2 fouls, and score 18pts, than it would be for him to play 25 minutes, miss some quarters, get 5 fouls and score 10. If he's too heavy, he gets tired easily. And if he's tired, he *reaches* and he *swipes* defenders. He'll also be *late* on his defensive assignments. Thsoe are the things that causes fouls. So, him being able to maintain his stamina and AT LEAST be on the FLOOR is way better. How he performances seems to be an afterthought, because he seems to just accumulate points and rebounds without us noticing. You know what I mean? What I'm saying is that there are times that he has only 2-3 points and 1 rebound early in the game. But two quarters later you look up at the score board and he has 19 points and 9! It's like, "How did he get that?!?!" He gets his points/rebounds in spurts. He best *just being on the floor* even thought he's not dominant all the time. Weight and stamina have a lot to do with it. The reason I don't want him to loose too much weight because he needs some of that weight to hold off bigger/stronger defenders.
