When Yao can start running, would it be safe to say he could start playing as well?

Yao is looking a tad doughy in those pics.

I wonder what weight the Rockets want him to play at next year.

You can bet he'll get in shape when he can run again.

Yao is betaying the team by taking the boot off without permission from management.

    ;)

    Nice to see Yao there!

Today AB's ft reminded me of Yao's ft vs. lakers a couple of season ago.

Yeah, I posted elsewhere: seeing him on Chinese TV watching his Shanghai team, he definitely has gained weight, looks older; not in game shape for sure. You can see it just in his face, jaw, neck.

What a welcome sight... Yeah he's gained some pounds, but knowing his work ethic, he'll be in shape before training camp... You can book that.

Yao will be ready for the start of next season, so he will have plenty of time to shed the extra pounds. I wish he would dis those Reeboks tough.

Yao has a history of healing faster than the schedule. Hope he's not rushing this time.

Clutch, thanks for posting this video. Very encouraging to see him w/o the boots. With the uniform, he looks so ready to play!

I have been tough on the big fella because he is so injury prone, but his absence has been pretty devastating to our defensive scheme. Did we go from one of the best defenses for years to one of the worst?

He should come back and shoot technical free throws for us.

a huge smile came over my face as i saw that video.. just seeing and remembering yao and his dedication to what he does. the hard work. the fact that he can still put down 92/100 means he hasn't let EVERything get rusty.

    yao is a badass

Glad to see him back. I'm sure he will be back to his normal self by training camp, normal self I mean the fact that his weight looks a bit more then last time.
