Yao need to go Ape **** at the TC, when his walking off the court everyone should give a standing ovation and Deke should wag the finger at the refs.

Can somene tell me the interview is broadcasted by national TV or local houston station? If it was only local houston station, no one, even the league office won't aware of it, unless you are a rockets fans, thus no action or fine!

unfortunately i dont think he was that pissed off, more like in disbelief. I dont think he's wired to actually get pissed, don't expect him to come out next game looking to destroy opponents.

It doesn't matter, the league will hear of it anyway. ESPN and Yahoo have reported chronicle stories before and often link to it regarding big stories. Yao getting "pissed" and complaining unfortunately would be a considered a big story and will probably get mentioned in game recaps or on their websites. It's also a perfect oppotunity for then to bring in "experts" and talk about how big men are officiated, even though it's been beaten to death already, especially by JVG

    I freaking love this guy.

You get the sense that he just genuinely wants the game to be played the way its supposed to be. No personal insults needed from the big guy towards any other players. Just a request to refs to call the game right.

Even when he's pissed, he stays respectful.

Dwight said in an interview before Olympics, that there's only one center in this Olympics -- Yao Ming. At that time I thought it was a compliment, now I don't. NBA is not set for traditional post-up big man anymore. Yao just caught a bad time to join, I guess.

It's ashame. The NBA has changed the rules so much to where guards are allowed to carry all over the place and true big men just get abused down low.

The sad part about it is, now to be a good center in the NBA you have to have 10 points and rebounds per game. How is that good? That's average, but nowadays it's good because seriously...what true center do you have after Shaq(whose retiring soon) Yao and Dwight?

That's why big men are shooting. All these big men have shots now, might as well because if you go in the paint and post up...and you're bigger than everyone else you're punished for being too big basically.

If they want elbow, Give them elbows........Let the blood teach them. Yao should do it long time ago. Maybe get a name "iron elbow",then no one dare put his head under. This is the best way to prevent these "performents".

I figured the controversy mongers over at ESPN would have at least given this a mention on their NBA homepage, but nothing yet.

I bet Yao tied Shaq into it for publicity purposes. He probably figured that people might talk about his comments since they're all talking about Shaq's flop.

Batkins, please edit the clip and include the 'offensive fouls' video into this clip.

You know, part of the problem with Yao is Hakeem.

That's right, Hakeem. Olajawon changed the game. He was impossible to defend in a man to man defense. The *only* reason he didn't throw down 50 / game was that teams played zone against him, and zone violated the rules. When we played the Sonics, they were illegal every single time down.

Now, the league eventually made the zone legal, but that's not the point. The point is that the default in the game basically became that superstar bigs get called differently to keep them from owning the game. Shaq gets hosed, Dwight gets hosed, and Yao gets hosed.

Ironic - the league bans hand-checking to free up guards (like jordan and kobe) and allows the zone and hacking on the bigs. It is a conscious decision by the league to ruin the game.

That was Awesome, you can really see him stepping out as a leader now, Last night was beautiful!

And did he say, "at least I don't need to worry about a flopper"? If so, Yao is sick! LOL!

"We play the race card, we dealt it from the bottom of the deck"_Robert Shapiro.

Yao should definitely pull that card out and Stern will be Yao's b****!

That was awesome. The refs will listen, because he is not a complainer. Get ready for the new Yao. If he's going to continue to get these calls, he's going to make his defender PAY. Get ready for blood.

The problem with this is that Yao just isn't going to make this an issue. He'll say what he said (which is great) and then he'll keep playing, and if he keeps getting screwed so be it.

If Yao was willing to fight for this, then yes this would be the greatest thing ever.
