Which is still a crappy representation because 1) even with 5 years he rarely ever took jumpers and 2) most of those jumpers were last second desperation attempts to beat the shot clock, they never ever run set plays for him to shoot jumpers. Just take a look at the shot clock in the video, almost all of them were towards the end of the shot clock.
I wish we still had Stromile too. I bet he could flourish in Adelmans system. Its all water under the bridge now.
stromile has proven one thing...potential keeps him in the league and the lack of production and basketball iq keeps him permanently on the trading block
^ yao is respected. he's a great player and a humble guy. how can u not respect yao? again, i think yao took the same shots as he did v. utah. i saw a lot of those fadeaways in the video. but the difference is yao initiated most of the contact and went into his moves willingly. v. utah, the physicality was higher and yao i think struggled to adjust to that and thus his fadeaways were mostly short or easily blocked.
awsome video.....never saw it before this...loved the theme song too.....great j ob...watched it 3 times...can't wait till next season...
Wow, that actually brought tears to my eyes....and a HUGE grin on my face. I loved the 1 handed rebound and stuff....and some of those facials! DAMN! Seems like forever since he's done those. Can't wait for the up tempo offense now!
The best thing we can say about Yao Ming is his best is yet to come! With the Adelman hiring, I get the feeling we'll be seeing more of this Yao that's featured in the video. It will be an easier offense for the entire team, and therefore, Yao will have more energy in the 4th quarter. Yao was always dragging his feet, and running on fumes in the 4th quarter, thanks to JVG's moronic use of him.
It should be as long as we don't play aggressive teams like utah when Yao is under injury rehabilitation and only a shell of what he once was.
He was not unstoppable this year, just ask Mehmet Okur, if anything he was great but predictable. Yao has a good solid base but he needs more creativity in his game to give opponents something to think about. Yao has progressed excellently to this point, hopefully now he can take the steps needed to truly be a force on both ends of the floor. In all honesty I think Yao has received fantastic coaching every year with the Rockets, and I expect him to continue to improve, each coach will add some more flavor to his game. DD
