The ovation from Blazer fans sums it up. Deke went out playing D on a center 2 decades younger. Talk about a career.

It's so sad to end this way for Deke. Hope the Rockets can make him proud by beating Portland and moving on...

There was a great shot from game one from the Oregon newspaper that I posted in the photoshop thread but I'm sure it got passed over.

    Link

    Wallpaper-worthy. Thanks Deke.

Portland for sure have classy fans, first they gave him a standing ovation and then wrote a whole page about Deke with alot of great comments about Dikembe. Nice seeing that every team ain't like the j*zz.

And Dikembe, I will really miss that guy. Such a great human being.

Awesome job on the vid and wallpaper.

BTW, even w/out playing, I would really miss seeing Deke cheer on the sidelines, high fiving guys coming back to the bench, and him grabbing Yao and giving him some advice. I hope he can still do that in some capacity before the playoffs end.

Mutombo needs to have his jersey retired. He's a true hero.

    Desktopped!

I love the image of him holding up 2 fingers on each hand for 22 wins straight too!

Yao must feel like Luke Skywalker watching Obi-Wan get taken out by Darth Vader.

Today we celebrate a great career.
