Here is how some Blazer fans feel about Deke. http://www.blazersedge.com/2009/4/21/848364/a-terrible-day-for-basketball He is one of the most beloved players in the NBA.
The ovation from Blazer fans sums it up. Deke went out playing D on a center 2 decades younger. Talk about a career.
It's so sad to end this way for Deke. Hope the Rockets can make him proud by beating Portland and moving on...
There was a great shot from game one from the Oregon newspaper that I posted in the photoshop thread but I'm sure it got passed over. Link Wallpaper-worthy. Thanks Deke.
Portland for sure have classy fans, first they gave him a standing ovation and then wrote a whole page about Deke with alot of great comments about Dikembe. Nice seeing that every team ain't like the j*zz. And Dikembe, I will really miss that guy. Such a great human being.
Awesome job on the vid and wallpaper. BTW, even w/out playing, I would really miss seeing Deke cheer on the sidelines, high fiving guys coming back to the bench, and him grabbing Yao and giving him some advice. I hope he can still do that in some capacity before the playoffs end.
Uncle Deke, Houston owe U an O'Brien Cup! Waiting for us, and being with us together, forever! We love U!

Yao must feel like Luke Skywalker watching Obi-Wan get taken out by Darth Vader. Today we celebrate a great career.
