Found this on youtube and thought maybe some people would like to recap, and remember the good old days of the finger wag...

At least it happened in a playoff game, in a series we went on to win. I'd have been even more depressed about it if he went down in a meaningless preseason game, for example.

Damm, if we had a 39-40 yr old Mutombo on this squad, we'd be up there

Did anyone else notice Yao performing the finger wag from the bench?

off topic slightly - but shows some of what Scola brings.

He jumps over the screen so that Roy can't go past - Artest just stands there and lets Roy go the other way - but Luis doesn't die on the play, rolls back towards the basket to get a possible rebound

I guess that's why some players get lots of rebounds?

back on topic: Dikembe shows why shot-blocking is so much MORE than a skill that you can learn.
It's about instinct, timing and general court awareness. From low on the block (almost out of bounds) he comes and challenges at the rim and makes an AMAZING play.

Can he just come back and play for another half season? This current team would be amazing with an anchor like that at the back!

Well i went and tried to find his very first finger wag. It was at the age of 4, he started wagging his finger so i obviously couldn't find a video for that :p
But the first time he used it in basketball was in a college game at the beginning of the 1988 season...couldn't find that either...

I remember that I cried like a brat after Game 2 because of Mutombo. It was just so depressing to see someone that awesome go down like that.
