Is a Liger better than Tiger and Lion or worse than both when it come to fighting? Just something to ponder.
True that on average Bengal and Siberian tigers are a bit larger than lions, but if you saw the video I saw, it wouldn't have mattered. We're talking about a 1 ton beast that ripped that lioness to shreds. Another thing to point out is that this battle took place on land. Put both in the croc's domain, the water, and I'll bet you see a different result. Polar bears are fierce, but I don't think they'd be able to hang with these guys. As an FYI, Siberian tigers kill brown bears routinely. Brown bears aren't polar bears, but hey, the tigers would probably go after them, too...lol.
You need to find another link. I want to see a cat that's 12 feet tall. lol. Even better 12 feet tall and only weighs 900 lbs. now that there is one skinny "big cat".
That 'animal face-off' is silly ~ there is no way in helk that a lion is beating a rhino one on one (there are other dumb ones as well).
I know this is true in Africa, but I don't think it's true worldwide. I think the number of deaths from snakebites is several thousand worldwide, whereas the number of people killed by hippos is probably a few hundred. FYI : one of the most lethal killers .... the mosquito. Of course they do it just by spreading disease.
Someone posted a link in here a few years ago to a site that chronicled a 19th century animal fighting league. Either the grizzly or polar bear was the champion, iirc, defeating such big names as tiger and longhorn simply by crushing their skulls with its heavy paws.
i think i remember that link or something similar. it was the grizzly bear that supposedy was the best fighter in the animal kingdom.
