The tech foul is for throwing the ball in a derogatory way at the official.

The official believes that Howard is making a statement about his failure to call earlier, or often enough, and has thrown the ball at him as a statement.
Most times an official will make that call, the official feels guilty for not having made a call earlier in the contest, feels irritated that the player is giving them a hard time about it, and calls the tech because (in the officials mind) "hey, I just called in your favour, get off my lawn"

Not saying it is the right call at all, but that is what the tech is for.

Crank up the volume at the 1:30 mark ... looks like Mauer claims it was an elbow by Dwight.

Even more incredible considering how Jake O'Donnell ejected Clyde back in '95. An ejection so bad, the NBA didn't let Jake do another playoff game again that year and, if I recall correctly, told Clyde he didn't have to pay the fine. LOL.

When I first saw the video, I thought it was for Dwight pulling his elbow down and trying to land it into the guy. But in slow motion, it doesn't look so bad. But then I'm not sure what the official thought he saw at full speed other than he tried to elbow the guy across the head or something.

To be fair, I dont think Drexler even thought about that incident when he made the comment.

Drexler does not think when he is doing games. He just blurts things out.

We went to OT. That technical cost us 2 pts.

    Do the math.

    This is outrageous.

When did Dwight become the Rasheed Wallace of the NBA when it comes to reputation? It's been systematic all year. What the hell did Dwight do to deserve this?

You mean 3-1, including the bad call in OT in Game 1.
