Sick dunk but gotta give props to Faried for even attempting to challenge the dunk. Most guys would rather just get out of the way to avoid being on a poster
Not only did Faried get dunked on, it was HIS turnover that created the fast break. Double whammy!! The hat trick would've been if he'd fallen down because of the dunk.
Honestly, Vince Carter ruined highlights for me. Nothing looks impressive anymore because of how insane he was.
Nothing seems explosive anymore. Even that George dunk was mediocre compared to the things Vince did. A sad sad time.
That was sick! Anyone see Kevin Martin's dunk on Tayshaun Prince? Not as impressive but still a nice facial
One of the best in game dunks I have ever seen (and yes, Vince Carter spoiled me too). That still shot really is impressive. I see that picture and think NO WAY he even gets the ball to the rim.
To Faried's credit, he couldn't have played better defense than that without fouling Ross. Still, Ross posterized the mother out of Faried who probably should of just fouled Ross.
Can't appreciate this dunk without a slow motion replay and images. Faried played it about as good as you can and Ross just took it to another level. It's amazing how well Faried can get up with both hands. You rarely see that. He's got great timing on his takeoff.
Honestly, the lack on attention this dunk is getting tells me it will be one of the most underrated dunks of all time. This dunk blows Paul George's dunk out of the water, and I thought that dunk was great. This dunk is everything you appreciate about athleticism in basketball. Two supremely athletic dudes going after it. Faried does an amazing job not only going up with two hands, but also not fouling and meeting him at a point where it is a huge disadvantage for Ross to get to the rim. On the other hand, Ross goes up against someone who has size, strength, and is an extremely athletic PF. How Ross gets the ball to go in without using his off hand (especially after looking at that picture) is amazing. It takes timing, athleticism, tenacity, and power to do it. DeAndre Jordan dunks on 4'3'' Knight last year and it becomes a "thing."
Great dunk but I agree, it would've gotten more justice in slow mo. I thought it was amazing in real time, but seeing the still shots makes me appreciate it even more. It's not getting much attention because these two teams are pretty irrelevant to NBA marketing. Small teams, barely playoff contenders, and no big names, although a very pretty dunk.
Nice dunk but not THAT great. Ross had good timing and the right angle. He didn't out-jump or overpower Faried. Basically, he couldn't repeat that dunk with 100 tries. Again, nice dunk but not dunk of the year and not better than George's.
