The lefty Carl Landry.Their games seem to me to be very similar. Relentless on the glass and not afraid to finish strong at the rim. His shooting form looks nice as well.

A year ago who would've thought Terrence Jones would be the better NBA PF option over Thomas Robinson???

I really like this guy, a lot more than PPat and Marcus Morris. Jones gives me a Carl Landry vibe.

I feel like it's only fair for Mchale to give T Jones a shot at a starting gig. Hell, he gave D-Mo the keys to the starting position with no NBA experience whatsoever, and played against shitty, lower level overseas competition while T Jones played against the top American college players in the nation, yet can't even start.

Crazy thing is I think he has much higher upside than the mandry. Already has more shooting range and crazy athleticism, good handles for his size. He has the tools to become an allstar type player imo. It's up to his work ethic and dedication to basketball to see if he blossoms into a star for the Rockets.

Don't trade in the offseason. We got what we need right now. Once T Jones shows his worth, we'll use the extra cap space we have now to resign him, Parsons, and if Royce White finally shows up, him too. That is of course, if they're all still that good. We probably have the making of a championship team as of this moment. Right now though, we're just a little disorganized, so I doubt we'll make it to the third round. I think we could get past the first round, though it's going to be a tall challenge.

Just wanted to bump this and say kudos to Tjones....worked his ass off all season in dleague, finally got a chance to prove himself and took full advantage! I have no idea what kind of player hell turn into, but in high school/college he dominated and so far everywhere he's been he's produced. I hope he cracks the playoff rotation.

As a side LOL, him covering scola at the end of the game, dudes head was spinning with all of scola's moves, but you know what? He dug in deep and held his own.

I know intensity and work ethic were two knocks of his, but I've seen none of that. Hoping for a goodie here with Jones

Morey said on 790 this morning that he was the backup for Greg Smith. I hope he continues to put in good minutes and gets some burn in before the playoffs. We are going to need all the help we can get!

I wouldn't say held his own... Scola schooled him pretty bad. He completely beat him in those 2 in bounds plays. You could see Scola was just playing with Jones. But no one moves like Scola in this league. Even McHale said that it was kind of unfair to stick him out there on him but he also said Jones playd good.

Also Bullard said he had some attitude problems early on. I don't see that. I think what some may construe as attitude was just frustration. I think he isn't one of the quickest learners and that might have caused some frustration on both sides when he wasn't picking things up so well. But he seems to be playing D pretty well and he is an elite offensive rebounder and can block some shots.
