Tracy looks better than earlier, and i believe he wii back to great player. And now, please waiting......
Exactly. Thank you. I missed a game but when I saw boxscore and read an article I was really curious. And I am shocked. The guy looked great. I don't care about him jumper because anybody can shoot jumpshots, though the 2nd one was so well-contested. But damn he looked QUICK. It is amazing but how on the earth can 2 days make that difference. He looked kinda 4 times faster. He showed some explosion, etc. I really hope he will get more minutes because he CAN handle it, he is getting into nice rythm and he can HELP us, especially with playmaking and the way he is driving to the rim.
Just curious. What did people think of the No-Layups assessment of the 7:50? I didn't agree with some of the insinuations made regarding defense. Didn't appear to be a balanced analysis to me.
It would be quite efficient to throw McGrady in for 15-20 minutes per game off bench. We have yet to see how accurate Ariza really is if he can get his feet set, so I'm more interested in RA putting Ariza back in his natural role-player position and seeing how well he fares when our playmakers get him an open shot. It's good to see once again how rare it is to have a 6-8 player with amazing ball handling skills. We can't really blame Ariza for having bad handles, since every single player at his height with handles are all all-star players.
After all that has gone down between T-Mac and the team I really had a bad taste in my mouth. I didnt want him to play anymore and I had given up on him. But I really like seeing him succed and make a come back. T-Mac to the rack last night and i was jumping off the couch like a 5 year old. Good for him, i hope he can return to good form. I thought RA would maybe stretch his mins just a bit last night but thats why im not a coach.
Wow DD. The first thing I expected from you was he looked good, trade him now while he has value!!! I say let him play out the season with us. Sorry about Wafer, but it is for the best in the end. 80% TMac with a good attitude is better than Wafer with a bad one. I promise you it will work out.
My guess would be after a few games he is starting to get a little more confidence in his knee holding up. What made the old TMac unstoppable was his ability to drive and finish, which gave him room for his shot.
Thanks for the upload Clutch! I don't get to watch Rockets games live very often, and I am very interested in seeing the progress Tmac is making in every single game! Thanks for the uploads, hope to see more in the coming weeks!
Damn, he played great offense, he actually kinda reminded me of his old self a little. He was great, fast, aggresive, and able to finish. T-mac is really on his way to being his old self, and he's not far from it either. Really enjoyed seeing him play against the clippers, keep it like that t-mac. Good job!
Quick first step. Elevation clearly isn't there yet. Might be a concern if he were to get extended minutes over multiple game stretches. Getting more comfortable handling the ball. I dont see any issues with chemistry. His teammates respect him if they give him the ball with the clock winding down and they clear out for him to iso his man. Also nice to see him give up the last shot to a wide open Lowry, rather than force up a shot himself.
Kiddo? Please... Basketball slows down during the playoffs and focuses more on interior play. Odds are, a title run would require us to go through either San Antonio/Los Angeles and Boston. We may be better this year, but LA didn't play up to their potential last year. Against us in the playoffs last year, Gasol shot 53% and Kobe shot 45%. Nevertheless, during the course of the series, Gasol took a total of 98 shots and Kobe took 161. To me, LA knew they were the superior team; that's why they allowed Kobe to take so many more shots than Gasol. Notice how in game 7, the most crucial game of the series for LA, Gasol took 19 shots to Kobe's 12. That's a 58% disparity. LA, Boston, and SA all have legitimate post threats that have the ability to hit the mid-range jumper. Do you really think that a western conference team can make it to the finals w/o playing either SA or LA?
He played great but clearly doesn't fit well into the offense. The ball stopped in his hands everytime. The only reason people are praising him is because he made his shots. Had he not made his shots (very likely), everyone here would be bashing him. Hopefully he can put up a few great games, and we can ship him out.
I really don't mind anything he did on offense. The team-- either himself or a teammate-- was getting quality shots out of these possessions. So, what if there isn't quite as much movement? The point of an offense is to score, not to look pretty moving around. Besides, it's not like the Rockets were doing all that well in the halfcourt without McGrady anyway-- much of their efficiency is made up from increased transition offensse. What McGrady is lacking is D... it was, for example, extremely bad D by him when Rasul Butler hit a wide open 3. McGrady was standing inside the paint with Butler, a pretty good 3 point shooter, was left alone, and with no one in range to rotate to him. Yes, you goota play help D, but I don't think this is the way to do it. Overall, an encouraging performance for McGrady.
I like how T Mac has the ball in the last possession of the first quater and draws a double team then kicked it out to Lowry for 3. That is what we've all been missing: a guy who can draw double team in the fourth quater with amazing court vision. I got to say, he looks better each game.
love the last drive around 3:40, uses body to shield contact and finish with the left bottom line is he can create his own shot or find a teammate, during stretches of games this is what we need
Keep in mind that the help defender was originally assigned to Lowry. Lowry is shooting 30% from the 3pt line this year which is pretty bad (and the best of his career except for his 10 game rookie year). If it had been Brooks or Battier instead of Lowry, McGrady may not have gotten the help defense.
Agreed, I think the team is still more efficient overall (on both sides of the court) without McGrady although he is playing reasonably well.
