Have to say that when Tmac came into the game tonight the game changed. To me, the offense was flowing better and he is like a coach on the court. You could see the concentration in his eyes.....every shot, every rebount....he wanted the ball. When he gets his body on the same level as his head....we are gonna be a lot better team.
Clutch, I think I can speak for everyone here when I say that we all appreciate how quickly you upload these videos. For a lot of us who have difficulty watching the game, it's good to see these highlights on Tmac since there is so much controversy surrounding him and the team (e.g., will he get traded, will he sign back here)...anyways, please keep it up - it's greatly appreciated!
I saw McGrady come into the game today and have more impact offensively in 7 minutes, than Ariza did all game. I personally think we should explore what we can get for Ariza in trades.
It was good hearing that again^^ why is everyone so hyped up about von wafer, seriously ... HE IS NOT THAT GOOD
Not sure you can examine McGrady and Ariza's offensive impact the same. Seems like the coaches are running different sets for both players. Correct me if I'm wrong but I haven't seen Ariza iso from the elbow.
Let's not jump the gun. Tracy has a long way to go. There is no doubt that he impacted the game more than Trevor tonight, but we need both of them. We aren't likely to get much more than another Ariza like talent even if it is at a different position by trading Trevor.
I don't think anything has been decided. The positives for keeping him: 1. He obviously is looking better and better each game 2. He clearly brings something to the table other players on the team can not (Ariza) 3. Crowd seems to be enthusiastic about him (i.e. ticket sales) 4. T-mac seems willing to sign for a smaller contract to stay in Houston Negatives 1. He has a negative history from last year 2. No one knows how his recovery from MFS will play out 3. The Rockets are crowded at the wing and face resigning Scola at the end of the season It's just too early to tell what will happen.
Everybody seems to forget just how good T-Mac is! So many people want to trade him, and for some reason think this team can make a late playoff run. Don't get me wrong, I love this team, but they don't have a consistent enough go to guy for the playoffs. I know everybody is gonna say what about Landry? True, but he can't play on the perimeter and create his own shot. Truth be told, if T-Mac can get back to 2007 form he is gold for this season. Then we can let him go if we want! Budinger going down might be a blessing in disguise. Now Coach A. has plenty of minutes to give to Mac.
The set plays are different but there is a visible difference in their respective skill levels. That is what makes Tracy more dangerous,he can pass, handle the ball, shoot better. If he can regain his explosion and stop settling for jumpers, as in the past,he will be able to finish better than Ariza too. I liked what I saw from Tracy,he attacked the basket.
Saleem, it seems like when he got fouled, he should of been able to finish the layup. Hopefully, he gets that back soon and more explosiveness. He looks great though!
Agreed. The way he moves with the ball and how he sees the court to set up other players is such a breath of fresh air. His natural talent, feel for the game and good decision making is undeniable. He makes everything look so easy. Sometimes I still think Ariza is Mcgrady since he's wearing his old number and I wonder what the heck happened to Mcgrady's handles and how come he can't finish with his left anymore? I'm not knocking Ariza by any means but trying to make Ariza our go-to-guy which he clearly is not and seeing one that actually used to be one and can still possibly be one is like day and night. I hope Mac gets more minutes.
too bad he's getting traded! we just signed wafer, there is no way we keep that many wings on the roster
He's not fitting because he's being asked to do things that he's not accustomed to being or doing. Which is being a go-to-guy and carrying us as as one of our main options. Ariza is a role player and he'll always be a role player ....an exceptional one at that. He doesn't have the skill-set to be a superstar and that's why I'm hoping Mcgrady gets more minutes so we can let Ariza focus on what he's actually good at. If he plays within himself I think he can be an excellent fit for us.
