In other words, if McGrady increased his intensity during practice, he could've improved his game shape prior to actually playing in any games. Thanks for proving my point.

There is probably nothing wrong with his intensity during practice, but you probably never played sports if you believed players felt the same in practice as they do in the actual game.

I did in between running, he would favor his left knee like he didn't fully trust it.

    Sorry, but I'm right....again.

How do olympians prepare for trials? They train in order to get into the necessary shape. They increase the intensity of their training to achieve their desired results.

McGrady may not have had the luxury of a preseason, but he had plenty of time to train during practice or on his own time.

Then why did his movements appear so slow during the game?

Are you sure you want to engage in quasi-personal attacks with me?

I found it interesting T-mac was playing the 3 and played along side Brooks and Lowry.

I thought it was very interesting Adelman played T-mac with the speediest line-up. Brooks-Lowry-Tmac is pretty interesting.

I can't help but get excited. A healthy Tracy could make this team a contender NOW...

training for the olympics is much different than playing professional sports. doing a 100m dash over and over again is much easier. the only thing in your way is your own mind. when in the nba or nfl, you have a guy trying to keep you from scoring.

also, since you dont know, most teams dont go 100% in practice in fear of injuring a player. he can run, shoot jumpers, and lift weights all he wants, but his rust will only come off when he sees true competition trying to stop him from scoring.

You're gonna have to point it out, he ran without linping and pushed off the leg significantly without any issues.....maybe in your mind you expected it and therefore think you saw it?

why even try to argue with the guy?

but to back up your point, clyde drexler said most players don't try as hard during practice in today's telecast when bill pointed out that he was never a good practice player.

Tracy gave a good defensive effort, including some help defense while he was guarding Jonas Jerebko who was parked behind the 3 point line.

to add to my post above: why do you think there are so many track stars that can't cut it in the nfl? because it requires much more skill than running in a straight line.

"We want to continue to run the floor and it’s important that he pushed himself to do that," Adelman said. "The time he’s playing, there is no reason to not do that. We are looking at that and how he is defending and if he’s moving without the ball."

he wants tmac to run, run, and run some more. when he can do that at a consistent level, look for him to play big minutes.
