05 mcgrady and mcgrady post 07 are two completely different people. Yes, he didn't cut after that. Hell, he didn't come back till 07 b.c of the injury in 06 and came back real overweight and slow. Every since then its just stand around and hold the ball for half the clock.

So basically you are saying he did in fact move off the ball?

Can someone do a before and after of his jump shot from the 05 season compared to today? It looks like he barely jumped 2 inches off the ground.

    1) don't even expect him to have his explosivness/jumping/elevation from 05
    2) it is only his 1st game, he was nervous and rusty. he will find his rythm
    3) thos jumpshots looked ok.

Haven't heard "Tracy McGrady for 3!!" in a while. That felt good. To be honest, McGrady looked pretty good tonight, but he needs to slowly get up to speed with the rest of the team. Hopefully we'll see more of him from now on.

So far he seems to come back ok. I think it still hard to predict what will happen with him...

If he plays as even 70% good as he used to be and willing to fit into the "play hard" attitude. Rox probably will try to keep him.

    UNLESS...

We get a really good trade offer.

    OTHERWISE...

He is pretty much done for Rockets and currently just showcasing his remaining skills to fetch the next big contract which probably will be his last pretty sure.

The positive thing comes as this is a mutual benefit to both T-Mac and the Rockets organization...
I like how the Rox organization handled this mess so far... the rest is up to T-Mac to work his ass off to get what he wanted from now on.

Lay off of Tmac man. He tried on defense. He is just rusted. He wasn't expecting the Rockets to be such a fast pace team. It would just take time for him to get back into rhythm. I just don't believe why you find any reasons to bash him. He only played 7 minutes and you still have things to bash about. Just get over it dude. I notice this about you every time there is a tmac's thread or anything about him.

OK. Question . . was there a limp or did the leg look fine?
Cause We are getting different reports from different posters.

If he had a limp . . I don't think the leg looked fine

His leg is fine otherwise he wouldn't be seeing the light of day when it comes to playing time, and Morey and Adelman would still be sitting his butt on the bench. People are just over analyzing every second of his 7 minute run on the court. There was no discernible limp, but even if he was favoring his surgical knee it would be fairly justifiable considering the fact that he hasn't completely had a chance to test it out in a real game before and thus there is a mental hurdle that he had to overcome. The mental part will take a few weeks as well, just like the physical part did (during the practice run he had since November 18th or so). As a soon to be physician who has had major knee surgery myself after tearing the unhappy triad completely in one knee, I can tell you that the mental part is very difficult to overcome at first, even when you are medically fine, and different people take a different amount of time to regain full confidence in their knee without favoring it at all.

His lift on the 3 was reminiscent of the old T mac, and it was certainly very smooth in its delivery. His conditioning in real game situations is the other major hurdle he has to overcome, because of the intense adrenaline rush he must feel in anticipation of getting into the game and then the initial nervousness he also admitted to feeling. As those wear off and he regains his confidence back, we should be seeing vast improvements in terms of his in-game play on a week to week or even day to day basis. The Rockets are handling this situation correctly based upon a mental, medical and physical perspective by acclimating him slowly but surely into the team once again. This relieves any added pressure that Mcgrady or the team itself might feel in pulling this transition off, and I expect the Rockets to get into a nice little win streak sooner than later, as a result of this smooth transition.

He was nervous about how the crowd would react. Said "Thank You" for the applause.

    Pretty awesome.<object width="388" height="394" classid="clsid:D27CDB6E-AE6D-11cf-96B8-444553540000" id="ep"><param name="allowfullscreen" value="true" /><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always" /><param name="wmode" value="transparent" /><param name="movie" value="http://i.cdn.turner.com/nba/nba/.element/swf/1.1/cvp/nba_embed_container.swf?context=rockets&videoId=teams/rockets/2009/12/15/12152009lockerRoommov-1153831" /><param name="bgcolor" value="#000000" /><embed src="http://i.cdn.turner.com/nba/nba/.element/swf/1.1/cvp/nba_embed_container.swf?context=rockets&videoId=teams/rockets/2009/12/15/12152009lockerRoommov-1153831" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" bgcolor="#000000" allowfullscreen="true" allowscriptaccess="always" width="388" wmode="transparent" height="394"></embed></object>

I will take your word for it. The Audience shots in the initial video
seemed. . . awkward. People seem to not know whether to stand or not.

    Thanks for the update.
Having had the hardest schedule in the league
It is bound to soften up sooner or later so
a nice streak will be expected.

Did no one else notice how lazy Tmac is on defense.... but he said he didn't get tired.. I mean.. I like the guy and want him to stay.. but someone tell him to play some D or he will get shipped out in no time.

Your shades are my reality glasses baby !!!

    He looked

    S
    L
    O
    W

    Especially on D.

I think he still lacks confidence in his knee, that is going to take time...the mental hurdles are the hardest.

Still, as I said earlier, he looked OK, but now everyone can shut up about Adelman, he was clearly playing his best players in Trevor, Chase and Shane, they can keep up...
