The nightmare was the Mcgrady era. I just hated it, every minute of it. They both didn't make any noise in the playoffs, but least one hustled and gave it his all and the other did just enough to look good.

One gave me hope and something to root for, the other made me sick. You can't teach hustle and passion.

It seemed to me like McGrady cared just as much about winning. Francis may may have 'hustled' but it's obvious he is very similar to McGrady, 'me-first' players who are trigger happy. If anything Francis iso-ball was far uglier than McGrady's iso-ball. Later in his career Francis could not adjust his game or accept any changing role, it remains to be seen if TMac can't either.

I think your distinction is just bias.

Damn I just wish Yao would have stayed at that playing weight instead of bulking up, it seems that once started getting into his weight above 300lbs that when his foot problems started occuring.

After Steve Francis, not many PG are as explosive and can break down defenses and attack the rim like he can other than Rose. Not many PGs today attack with so many different cross overs but rely more on quickness. But that Steve Francis just unbelievable. His quick crossover is nearly unstoppable. Even guys like Chris Paul doesn't possess the quick crossover like Francis. But unfortunately Steve doesn't have the IQ like the PGs today in Paul, Dwill, Rose and Rondo. I say the PGs in the early 2000s are more offensive minded, crossover machine and explosive while the PGs today possesses better court vision

That wasmthenroght trade. Tmac is better than stevie. You make that trade evreytime. Problem with Francis was he never worked hard or improved his game. He came in the league with just about the same skills sets as when he left the league. He didn't improve his game and just relied on his athletism.

Tracy is a better all-around player than Stevie for sure.

Still, I enjoyed Steve's years here much more than Tracy's. I'm not comparing who had the better looking ISO, I'm comparing who gave me the most hope, who brought the most passion and who left it all on the court. That was Steve.

I still think Cat was a better player than Stevie. Cat could do it all, he was just never given the chance other than the migraine year. Cat played on two bum ankles the whole season and still averaged 22 points a game.
