thats exactly what I was thinking. I'm glad we have him, but I don't think hes the kind of person that I would like to hang. The Walter Payton award was the funniest part.
I think this guy is gonna be a hell of a football player, I love his intensity. I think he was giving a little "hint hint" to Dunta when he was talking about getting "blowed up" lol.
I guarantee you that DeMeco is not thinking that he's a douche. He's thinking that he's glad we have another playmaker on defense besides him for a change. It's funny that he's called a douche based on a few minutes taken from a high-intensity football game. Didn't realize it mattered that our players were guys that we'd "like to hang" around. He's a 22/23 year old kid that's having fun- and you have to have that attitude he shows to be a great defensive player. I'd take 11 Brian Cushing personalities on the defense...and go ahead and throw in 11 Andre Johnson's for the offense. Championship!
The best part about it is that these guys clearly like to have fun out there. And I think they play better when they are having more fun. Even Schaub is trying to get Schanahan to loosen up a bit. Not to pile on coaching, as they often take the brunt of the blame on losses while the players get credit for wins, but Kubiak/Schanahan/Bush definitely always seem "tight" and "under pressure" - which they are, granted, but I think a teeny bit more of the lets go out there, have a great time, kick some ass attitude might have helped during the 4 game losing streak.
^^I'm sorry that matt Suave can't do cool dances like Vy to motivate his troops. =/ Cushing is something else.
i think they are basing it off a little more than this one clip. Maybe it's the USC background, but people have thought he was a D for a while.
That was great. Love Cushing, dude is a STUD. And it's great to hear the trash talking. "stay up and take it!"

My comments had nothing to do with his playmaking ability. I am very glad we have him. I just don't think that I'd be able to get along with him on a personal level. Andre Johnson, albeit an anomaly, is someone I could see myself having a conversation with.
Here is a room of the people who care about your ability to get along with a pro athlete on a personal level:
http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/2009/writers/peter_king/12/27/mmqb/4.html Peter King: e. When the Houston trainer was giving Gary Kubiak an injury rundown at halftime of the Texans' game at Miami, he mentioned rookie linebacker Brian Cushing being banged up in the first half. Cushing was hooked up to an IV and winked at Kubiak, as if to say, "I'll be out there. Don't worry.'' and 4. think it's a very long shot, but it'd be fun to see the Texans in the postseason, just to see what damage Matt Schaub and Andre Johnson could do. Johnson became the second player Sunday to have back-to-back 1,500-yard receiving seasons, joining Marvin Harrison. "I've never seen so many coverages designed for one player,'' said coach Gary Kubiak. "He's not only a great player and a great kid, but he's very smart in games.''
