Every D Leaguer was used to being a star in Europe or college.

It's nice seeing the future starting PF and SF building some chemistry on the court. :)

Did Royce get scored on last game in the 5 minutes was he was in? He fouled one guy who was shooting who might have made his free throws. Other than that he had his hand in the guys face when they shot.

not in Euroleague. it's like Andrew Luck being sent to Lingerie football league.
Donatas case is unusual, since he's so young and he 'starred' for the Bobcats of the Euroleague, so I don't know, maybe it would be nothing. But I just don't remember any Euroleague 'star' ending up in D-League.

I want to see Tornado Jones and Royce NoFlight play together. These two will tear up the league. Royce will be the new Lebron.

I agree with you that Royce White is not being used effectively. Rockets should try to put him as a PG on the 2nd Unit and see.

I am not totally against the idea of sending him to the D-League, but the quality of play is quite low there.

On a Royce / T-Will comparison, it MAYBE shows a LITTLE difference in philosophy from 1 year to the next.

Besides both T-Will and Royce bringing too much negative attention onto themselves for non-basketball reasons, both of them have a bit of "freelance" to their game. It seems is Royce is being allowed to make that a part of his development worked in as part of his "fundamentals" package, but T-Will had to be "reigned" in?

Even Jeremy Lin is allowed to be a playmaker DESPITE his MISTAKE making, but as long as Lin is trying it the "bland' way instead of the fancy way, it shows he's trying to do it the "true" way? Oh well...or T-Will just sucked and Royce and Lin dont

btw, T-Will has been amazing defensively this preseason. the Pistons play him at point a lot, i wasn't impressed by his skills offensively (for a point i mean, not wing), but his defense... yummy.

TWill will be a stopper at point defensively. It's where we should have been playing him. Honestly, if TWill makes it in the NBA, it will be (just like Royce) as a playmaker. I think he's a point guard myself and I think he could be the Westbrook/DRose stopper if he were allowed to develop there.

yep, the Rockets should've kept him. it makes so much sense to have a great defensive backup behind an offensive point guard. but I didn't follow the inside stuff, so maybe there were some issues that i don't know about.

He's insinuating that our lineup would be awesome if we played Lin, Lamb, White, Motiejunas, and Asik. I like Jones more than Motiejunas at this point, but I think that lineup would work well.

I've made some of the same observations. White needs to develop to play the 3. Good things happen when he can rebound and get out on the break, but he isn't effective in the small lineup at the 4 with Motiejunas, Patterson, or Jones at the 5. Our rebounding suffers too much for it. Realitically we can't ever play any combination of two poor-rebounding forwards (White, Patterson, Jones, Motiejunas). Those guys have the potential to improve their rebounding, especially Jones, and Motiejunas (and White if he develops as a 3; I think he'll get out-rebounded at the 4), but for the time being, we can't play any combination of them together without Asik at the 5.

Royce is a much better passer than T-Will. Royce is an elite passer, while T-Will's best skill is defense who is above average at passing.
