I don't know how someone that is 260 pounds can run around and chase people around like he does. Can you imagine getting into a fight with Artest. First he is bigger than you, second he know how to fight (golden gloves), and finally, he is faster than you. I wouldn't be supprised if Artest does some NHB after he retires from basketball.
he still can't jump. but that's not the point. he's so physically gifted in terms of a wide/bulky body that if he just attacks hard EVERY TIME, nobody is gonna push him away/out that he's gonna get at least foul calls every single time. ron needs to keep doing that and he'll go to the rim a ton. that was a nice dunk though. don't know why the warriors D separated away from ron when he got into the paint lol.
theres a huge difference between a layup or a floater and a dunk. i mean a dunk like this can really ignite a team rather than a layup or a finger roll, specially late in the game. so i do not believe all shot are created equal.
If that dunk doesn't inspire Half Man Half a Season to come back early from the lack of confidence in his knee, then I don't know what will.
Yeah Ron has had some impressive in-game dunks given that he doesn't jump that high for an off-guard and does not have exception speed ... one thing that helps him is his large hands and quick arms, he can palm the ball and get it up for the dunk real fast ..
Ron is a golden gloves boxer?! Yeah, not too many will mess with him lol. Maybe Udoka from the Spurs but not many others.
OK, I looked it up and it was his dad who was the golden gloves. He himself is quoted as saying he was a mediocre boxer. "The 28-year-old star forward of the Sacramento Kings and NBA 2004 Defensive Player of the Year was just chilling away on a sunny summer afternoon with his two kids. Myself, former WBA Welterweight champ Jose Antonio Rivera and his trainer John Scully went over to say hello. Turns out Ron-Ron is a pretty friendly and nice guy. He’s also a hardcore boxing fan who once tried the sport - with mediocre success. “It’s hard. You have to have talent. When I tried to box I remember I couldn’t get through the one guy’s jab. It was hard, I was trying to throw punches but I couldn’t hit him. So I love the sport.” " link: http://www.boxinginsider.com/headlines/celebrity-boxing-fan-ron-artest/
Does anyone know Artest's condition? Does the sprain ankle require rest to heal or will it heal even when Artest is playing.
I honestly think that he is in the wrong sport. He needs to be new strong sid LB for the Texans. Or maybe even an Antonio Gates type of TE.
