aghast - great posts in this thread. i live for 90's basketball. had no idea about oak slapping charles - pretty funny.

the artest quote about jordan "not moving so well after that" is pure comedic gold.

btw, to reiterate, it's clear from the clip that he's being sarcastic/facetious about roy.

inside the nba is hands down the best show on television. no idea why this board whines about charles so much. that guy is great.

true. I do agree that Artest is more a versatile defender because of his size, he can guard the 2,3, and 4. However for strictly guarding 2s, I take Maxwell cause of his speed and athleticism.

    Really Jim Rome? Really?

Apparently Ron Artest saying this was the worst decision he's made since running into the stands at the Palace.

    Come on now.

yeah i just saw it. i swear, jim rome is a shock jockey with the writing of some re-incarnated pig that is still trying to work it's wings to fly.

As for ron, i think he was tellin the truth. or he was trying to soften up Roy for tonight.

    it went something like this:

"what about ron artest saying brandon roy was better than kobe and lebron. that's great. huge mistake. *5 second pause*. biggest mistake dude's made since the palace. phenomenal. *5 second pause*. love that guy. expect a huge game from michae....ARRRR brandon roy tonight."

    i dunno, i didn't hear it.

Maybe Artest isn't just talking about scoring? Involving teammates or something, who knows. but there is more then one aspect to the game then just scoring.

... and I find it difficult to believe Roy excels in any of them by any appreciable margin over Lebron... lol. :)

Roy is a better shooter than LeBron and that's it. He has passing over Kobe though.

Either way Kobe-LeBron > Roy easily.

Hm-m-m? Might have also had something to do with hand-checking being OK in yesteryear. ;)
