+1 I heard him on some Sacramento radio show and was thinking the exact same thing. He kept saying how he was ghetto but he doesn't sound that way at all.
wow ron asked tracy for yao's number and called him. that's what you call a mature move. props to ron for doing that. i think he's gonna be fine if he keeps thinking that way.
it's ON RON . i think he can be the vocal leader that we need if his head is on right. nobody on this team can intimidate any other player in the L like ron.
omg i love his willingess to win, his hunger and fire is the thing energy we need to lift off the rockets.
Ron is gonna be great in Rockets commercials! And I can see it now, during a timeout Toyota Center will play an Artest video: "Come on! Off your seat! Don't make me come after you! And I better hear some cheering too!"
Bad ass interview. Between him, Dorsey and Alston, we're gonna have some attitude this year. I can't wait to see us play New Orleans again. You know Alston always mixes it up with Chandler and Paul. Finally, this team has some balls.
He is so composed and makes no excuses for his previous bad behavior and now all he says is that it is in the past and he learned from it and now is now with the Houston Rockets where he wants to do whatever is asked of him and one great point that he made was that if Yao had not gotten hurt we would have possible won a ring or gotten close and thus no ron artest on the rockets. But now, he IS a rocket and will fight to take down the celtics and anyone else, he said you want to be humble but as a competitor let's face it...we're coming after you Ron A.--don't get mixed up in h-town parties and rap scene with drugs and all that stuff...stay true to yourself and your team and don't screw it up---rings baby
I saw this while running at the gym, and I laughed out loud and people looked at me when he said that thing about everybody having different DNA. Hilarious man...
man.. I don't know.. I think the Texans are in the same predicament.. I think they could make some noise if they can just stay healthy.
It takes alot of maturity and a comfort with who you are to handle the criticism from Yao the way he did. He didn't hold a grudge, he reached out to Yao and confronted the issue head on. There are plenty of people that would take it personally and wouldn't do what Ron did. I like his answer about the brawl as well. Who can say what we would do if someone threw something at you.
Ron looks like he just won the lotto. I can't wait to giving out some beat downs on the rest of teams in the league. Next season will be one hell of a ride to the finals.
