I think dorsey will definitely get time. Right now you have to worry less about experience and get some shot blocking in there. With yao out this team is as scary as a school girl in the post. The blazers took it to the rim when yao went out, with chuck, scola, etc. out there, they just stood and watched as portland went up for layups. They don't have one guy who's going to contest attempts anywhere as close like deke or yao, except for Dorsey.

Also, they may use them in pick and roll situations, Yao's picks are ok, but "ok" picks aren't as good as illegal picks, which i point out in my "przybillas' picks" thread. I found when przybilla threw elbows/shoulders or held arms during picks portland was more likely to gets open looks and score, as oppose to when Lamrcus set "ok" picks and ron/shane just went around them. Dorsey has the beef and mentality to throw some bows' and be more physical than scola, hayes, yao, or landry. We need to fight fire with fire..

Ron ARtest defense is different in game #2 than game #1. In game 1, he position himself to give Roy only one way to go in pick n roll. IN game 2, he didn't do that. So Roy has two ways to go and that's hard to predict. You have to position yourself to give him only one way every time.

it would be great to see Dorsey have an impact in the game but I don't see it happening. Dorsey is 6'7" (6'8" tops)... theres no way he'll be able to contest shots like 7'2" Mutombo or even Yao. I know he has hops but when he's being posted up by Aldridge it won't really matter. I hope I'm wrong but we'll see what happens.

i dont expect him to match their shot blocking at all, what i said was dorsey was the rocket closest to their shot blocking abilities, even if he's not close, he's the closest. I'm not really looking for him to block shots on post ups, even deke and Yao didn't do that often, i'm talking about when blake or roy gets loose for a layup. There were a few posessions in the third where Yao had to go out and they had chuck and scola at the 4/5. The blazers literally walked in the ball for layups. No hesitation, no fear, nothing. The rockets looked helpless. That is were dorsey comes in. He's the one guy who has a lot of experience contesting layups because he was that guy in Memphis. Landry blocks some shots, but mostly coming from the weakside not straight on and not consistently. We need dorsey..
