do you have any idea how long it would take ppl to upload a 700 megabyte file to yousendit???? You must be nuts Figger this....most residential cable lines are going to have their upload speed capped at 50KB/s...It may not take long to download....but it takes forever to upload. there is no better way to distribute a file this large...unless you know someone who wants to donate a fast server with over 1 terabyte of bandwdith... or...I guess I could start uploading this to a newsgroup...then if you have a premium newservice...you could get it quickly....but I dont really feel up to having to teach everyon how to use Usenet.
I meant one person, not a thousand. But it is cool anyways, the downloading speed all of a sudden jumped up significantly, so I got the download done and am seeding. Thanks for the effort R2K. I wish I knew how to connect my computer to the TV/Cable so I can save these games on my harddrive and help out with some games if I could. But I am not in the same league as yourself when it comes to computers: I know enough to do many things, but not that technical.
aahhh.. I see. still....yousendit only allows for 20(25?) downloads per upload...it still wouldnt be practical. The speeds always start out slow...but as more and more peers finsih the file and the number of seeds increases....the speed jumps considerably.. It is just the way bittorrent works.,..I wish there was a better way...but there isnt. We tried the serving from our server bit...and got slapped with a HUGE bill for the bandwidth...
Why don't u uninstall whatever you have and reinstall a newer version from http://www.bittorrent.com/
