Mounted cameras are fairly common in a lot of other countries. And have you ever called the police? They rarely show up timely.

Why would you do that considering the thread title mentions Australia, the video is clear on it, and rocketsjudoka mentions bogans multiple times in his post? And you say he's idiotic?
That is your prerogative but not it's not something I would feel comfortable about. As I said it is one thing for me to put my own life in danger and another for me to endanger others. Anyway as noted the driver trying to get away might be facing some legal issues also. That is fine and if this was the US I would still feel the same way. Although I would be much more worried he would have a gun in that case.
Iono but the same thing happened to me once on westheimer.... Not sure what I did wrong but some guy in a black suv was really mad at me and cut me off.... I was going to make a left turn and he was still in front of me when the light turned red. He got out his car and started coming at mine. I honestly went into panic and didnt know wht to do. Do I get out the car and just do this or do I stay inside or do I try and drive off... I decided to drive off since I had was more in what is going on mode than Ima keep it real mode. Because keeping it real can go wrong. I managed to get away and ever since I always keep something in my car just in case I have to defend myself from some crazy out there.... Oh and this <iframe width="560" height="315" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/4rMyiMnpuAg" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>
So the police can't come to him, he has to drive to the station? And geez, that operator was a bimbo. He's fearing for his life and she goes, "So, how has this all started?"
holy crap thats crazy...the Police operator was an absoulute MORON! wow, could she be any more idiotic. And i probably would of rammed the driver side of there car, either hurting the driver or messing up the front axle, no way to follow me then.
It's sad, but the only better option would have been for him to have stopped long enough to let crazy attacker get out of the car, then run him over. That's likely what I would have done. Not out of wanting to hurt somebody, but out of the noted frustration of continually having to turn around likely ultimately leading to your car either being rammed to inoperability or running out of gas. Considering the likely light punishment coming to the guy relative to the risk caused - just an assumption, but in my mind the guy should be locked up for a meaningful period of time - getting run over might be justified anyway. Attacker and driver could have seriously injured one dude at a minimum but potentially many more by them using the vehicle as a weapon the way they were. I'm assuming he will get off much lighter. People don't just go off like this. This isn't a one time incident for this dude. In the future, other people will suffer because of this guy's lack of morality - not sure how or to what extent, but it is extremely likely to happen. I'm guessing in reality, he gets a relative slap on the risk.
I liked the part where she asked him to go back and check on the guy who fell off his car while busting his windshield in a fit of uncontrolled rage.
