I supported Bob McNair. I bought a Texans ticket and even defended the organization when talking to NFL players last year (pre draft).

    there you go.

YOU bought a ticket to a Texans' game? How come we didn't have a parade to celebrate it?

Seriously, though, what game was that?

$50 for the browns! hellz no!

i went in support of the Rowdies to the Spurs game in San Antonio.
our combined powers helped the Rockets win!

there was plenty of Rocket fans there. we should make it a regular event.
I mean, I will never be mad at the Rockets.
They saved the universe from destruction, how can you top that?

the Universe was saved in 1993.
We made China and the USA allies in peace and cheap electronics thanks to drafting Yao.

whatever man. i just think you're full of hypocrisy. the Rockets have pretty much sucked the better part of the past decade (even with their superstars), given out horrible contracts, and drafted a bunch of scrubs, yet you like to give them a lot of leeway just b/c they won championship 12 years ago.

    yes. championships=immortality
people love the Rockets, worldwide. all over the nation.
can you say that about the other team? no.

ask anyone next time you travel about the Rockets and the Texans.
I'd like to hear what their opinions are about the organizations.

Also ask them to name them the first players that come to mind for each team.

I still would be a huge Rockets fan even if we never won a Championship. And I always will be. Nothing would ever give me reason to support a team from another city for any sport.

    you keep asking.

the Rockets care about their fans. Look at the Rowdies. anything like that for the Texans?

but you hate your fellow Rocket fans.

i always support fellow Rocket fans.

    like I said Meowgi,
if you somehow represented the Dallas Halo2 champions, I'd cheer for you.
Not cause you got relocated to Dallas and I support some imaginary 610 border.

actually, i only asked AFTER you brought them up.

as for the Rowdies, where was that the previous 30 years? oh yea, that's right. they have to give tickets away b/c the rockets have sucked. yet, there you are still supporting them. why? they've sucked.

besides, this was supposed to be a Bush thread. i saw you coming a mile away. :)

I grew up in the '70s going to Astros games in the Dome when my food consisted to packed brown bag lunches that my parents brought us while sitting in $.50 seats in the outfield. The highlights back then were maybe seeing a home run and watching the scoreboard. I never asked "what did you do for me?". I never thought to complain about the food they served. I never even thought about the playoffs. I was just happy to be there to watch the Houston team play (the Expos for the 100th time). VY knows what I am talking about. VY would never be a VY only fan. Too bad you will never get it like he does.

all great teams go through building periods. the Rockets, the Lakers, the Bulls.
plus I have met lots of Rockets. They are great people.
I even went to Clutch The Bear's house for a halloween party. There's a good sense of community.

The only real thing the Rockets management did wrong was change the uniforms. at least the Rockets were never the laughing stock of the league. they are always considered a class organization.

No, the Rowdies were created so some true fans not corporations can be part of the crowd.
