Yup. Since Sunday night, people have suggested we trade:

    Harden
    Dwight
    Ariza
    Bev
    TJ
    DMo
    Smoove

And fire McHale, of course. Simple solutions!

i see what you're saying.. but, the Rockets have been lucky thus far with close wins. the chickens are coming home to roost. houston's brand of basketball is not pleasant to watch when the YOLO shots aren't falling. in fact, it's downright ugly. high turnovers, zero passing, minimal movement, no easy shots, recent defensive lapses, head scratching rotations, and face palming contract extensions.

call CF's reaction wishy washy if you may, but there is good cause.

Beverly's inability to put the ball where it needs to be hurts us especially with the type of player Howard is. What I saw from Josh Smith last night worried me aswell but expect Mchale to try him out as a starter for the next week or two. We need a pure pg on this team as a starter and have Beverly come out as our energy guy together with Brewer.

All of that ^ happens when you add new players to your rotation. Things have to be worked out between the players on the court. They dont get a lot of practice time so they have to do it on the fly in games. I'm not worried at all, we have good vet players that will get things worked out. All teams go through rough patches during the season. Spurs just lost 4 in a row, it happens to the best of teams. In a month from now we will have forgotten all about these two games. I'm just happy we now have real talent to work with. The bench guys look great together, they bring a lot of energy. Jones should be back soon so there will be another adjustment to fit him in. PATIENCE.

I hate to burst your bubble, but those problems are nothing new.

Regardless, I'm not freaking out. I still believe. The team is flawed though. Don't get me started on their collective FT shooting ;)

Get some practice time together so you can cut down turnovers, and knock down more than 50% of your free throws. You do those two things, and we're looking at a pretty damn good team.

We can also say the Spurs and Wizards got lucky to correct? Or that only pertains to the Rockets when they win close games?

Every team brand of ball can get ugly from time to time.

Finally someone starts to realize Bev's negative impact on team's offense. Offense and chemistry was way better during Bev's injury.

Man some of you guys couldn't wait until the guys went on a cool streak....

    Like freaking leaches....

All the starters need to do is adjust and play as a freaking team, pass the ball, move and rotate with help defense...

The only time I get frustrated with him is when he doesn't give DMo the ball when DMo outran his defender to the block or has sealed off his man.

Truest post in the entire thread.
Not to mention the anti-Dwight contingent and the lingering remnants of the Lin crazies lying in wait for any and every "I told you so" moment.
I am particularly annoyed by the fickle fans who are so easily swayed by public opinion.

    Exactly.
The team lost two close games to two pretty good teams while having had virtually no practice time since making major additions.
With new talent to accommodate, players returning from injury, and a new rotation to figure out, an adjustment period is to be expected.

It's been said repeatedly that this team is being built to excel in April, May, and June. So why panic over a couple of losses (to good teams) in December, especially given the circumstances?

anyone else notice that Dwight shoots free throws better in the 2nd half ? i don't have a way to see FT% by quarter but here's what i've seen:

went to the Wizards game and watched all of the warm ups. Dwight didn't practice free throws (he did go 3/5 from 3).

at halftime he came out early and shot free throws. went 8/11
watching at home, i've also seen clips of him shooting free throws at the half.

he shot somewhat better in the 2nd half.

    wtf mate ?

    I agree.

The fact is we are gonna lose more games. We are gonna look lost at times and confused. It's gonna happen.

It's gonna happen because we've added some amazing talent that has got to figure out exactly how to fit. This hasn't been an issue with other teams.

Josh Smith is a really good basketball player and an amazing athlete. He's been the alpha dog on a bad, and inexperienced, team. Now he's got to figure out where he fits. In the meantime we are gonna lose. I'm ok with that as long as we reach the ultimate goal.

Now, if we don't make the play-offs then I'll rage. Until then I'm excited to see how this much talent is going to gel.

And I'll keep praying for Dragic.
