I like TO and wish the NFL would stop trying to wipe out cool celebrations period.

I absolutely loved the dance and if Ray Lewis has a problem with it, grow up. The last time I checked, fans pay 75-100 bucks to go to games to see entertainment. And I'd be hardpressed to find anyone who didn't think that was hilarious. If you don't want end zone celebrations, don't let the guy score, it's not rocket science. The league needs to lighten up period. I absolutely loved it last year when Chad Johnson scored a week after getting fined for a celebration, and the next week he scores and holds up a sign saying "Please Don't Fine Me." What did the No Fun League do? Fine him of course.

Heck, I liked it when the eagles deep snapper, Mike Bartrum scored earlier this year and for his celebration deep snapped the ball. That garnered a stupid 15 yard penalty in my opinion. Also, the rule about taking one's helmet off being a 15 yard penalty is a crock too. If you throw your helmet or someone else's helmet like Kyle Turley did, yes, that is a penalty. But like what Dwayne Rudd(with Cleveland at the time) didn't deserve the penalty. It's a rule that needs smart enforcement. What bad things exactly would happen if a guy took off his helmet? Fans might recognize him? Aliens might invade his body? Jesus, you'd think they are afraid of the bubonic plague or something with these communistic rules in place.

Why don't we just replace all the athletes with robot simulators and make everything identical, equal, and boring while we are at it since that is clearly what the NFL big wigs desire.

Granted, I do admit there is a line with celebrating, like Joe Horn using a prop or TO going to the star at Texas Stadium, but 99% of end zone/sack celebrations are great, and fun to watch and see someone's personality come out.

It is just a game, for crying out loud.

There is only one way to settle these things, on the field, with an all out brawl like UH-Hawaii.

Ernest Givens, the end all be all of endzone celebrations.

That reminds me of the time that Andre Rison scored a touchdown here against the Oilers, and then started to mock Given's electric slide, but then made a motion like "nuh uh" and then started his customary lil flutter dance

Its funny you mention this. During a recent Texans broadcast, a former player from the dynasty years was doing the color. It was a lineman, I forgot who maybe someone else knows. Anyway, he said his last season with the 49ers was T.O.’s rookie year. He said T.O. was very quiet, and even addressed veterans as sir. The guy comes from very humble beginnings and I remember when he caught a big pass in a playoff game to beat the Packers after he had some drops. He seemed very humble. I really don’t know what happened to him. His personality has done a 180. I really want to like him because he is a bad ass on the field, he blocks on plays not called for him, etc. But he is such a jerk. And I don’t usually hate guys who are outlandish, like Neon, but I just can’t get with T.O. because he’s such a whiner when things don’t go his way.

Andre Rison's duck walk was funny because it was ridiculously stupid looking.

Just a side comment, I think celebrations like this will help out during FA or contract negotiations. Think about it, any other player that made that play will get 15 seconds of fame on ESPN. But TO will be talked about through out the week, as much overshadowed by the celebration, people would still remember that he broke five takles to do it.

Celebrations are part of the game and it makes it exciting...like others have said if they don't want it to happen. Then stop the guy simple as that.

Give it up for the former Crimson Tider! Anyway, I thought Johnnie Morton's "Worm" dance in the end zone against Indy was far better. I mean he was sensational! I've never seen anyone do the worm quite that well.

TO just took a low blow to Lewis. This was just uncalled for.

    http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/news/story?id=1915547

Terrell Owens might offend some people with his behavior on the field, but he was sounding mighty defensive Wednesday, and the way he went about sticking up for himself might end up offending even more people.

Asked about the mock Ray Lewis dance he did after scoring during Philadelphia's 15-10 win over Baltimore on Sunday, and about the criticism that followed, the receiver explained his consternation at being considered a bad guy, alluding to the Ravens linebacker's murder trial as he marshaled his arguments.

Speaking at his weekly news conference, Owens said: "You have a guy like Ray Lewis, who, I mean, I thought pretty much he was my friend. I mean, this is a guy, you know, double-murder case, he could have been in jail.

"Seems like the league embraces a guy like that. But I'm going out scoring touchdowns, having fun, but I'm the bad guy," he said.

Owens and Lewis have been trading verbal barbs -- mostly through the media -- since the offseason, when Owens jilted Baltimore before getting traded from San Francisco to Philadelphia.

Shaking his head in disgust, Owens said it's discouraging to get put in the mold "that I'm the worst guy that ever put on a uniform in the NFL."

"At times, it baffles me. I've never been in any off-field problems," he said.

The Ravens responded quietly but acerbically Wednesday afternoon.

"Like the rest of the NFL community, we would expect nothing less from Terrell Owens," said Kevin Byrne, Baltimore's vice president of communications.

He speaks the truth and usually people don't want to hear the truth. He does certain endzone celebrations and on the field antics and people lash out, media gets all over him, he gets fined, etc. People do all this stuff off the field from being accused of murder to drugs and they catch little to no slack. I know Ray Lewis was acquitted of murder but he shouldn't have put himself in that position in the first place. Owens was just comparing the crap he gets to the crap nobody else does when they really mess up.

People lash out t T.O. because he’s an a-hole and does stuff like imply that Jeff Garcia is gay, and yells at his coaches on the sidelines after he makes a drop. He’s a jerk. Case in point, no one even said anything bad about his end zone dance and he goes and says these things. What media person has complained? Most thought it was funny. He’s just an a-hole.
However, I do agree with what he had to say about the league suddenly embracing Ray Lewis after he was involved in a murder trial, in which he initially lied to the police.
