Is this serious? We're not being delusional and saying these players are stars... we're just being fans... Grab a beer and relax, my friend.
I like it. It was nice to see the rookies and Ariza instead of our older guys. Andersen especially looked quite polished in the highlights. Chase looked good too. I would like to see how Ariza's and Taylor's athleticism would fit in this year with a more open running style.
You're right. Next time I'll use something less dramatic, like "99 Red Balloons" by Nena, or maybe I just won't make a video at all.
I know I have probably asked you this before, but what software do you use. I have been using Pinnacle Studio, but I think you have more effects than I do. Fun vid, I can tell you were limited by the quality of the clips you could get... but the vid was very well produced... and I loved the music.
Thanks. I use Sony Vegas and find it fits my needs very well, although I didn't do much in the way of effects for this video. Just a ton of converting file types, cutting and pasting, and some velocity control here and there. And yes, I got the clips second hand from YouTube, so pickings were slim. As for the music, it's called "Mein Herz Brennt" (My Heart Burns) by Rammstein. They're a bit "out there" and the heavy German lyrics don't really fit a basketball mix, so I had to find an instrumental version. Unfortunately they didn't make one, so I used one that a fan made on his computer and then I spliced it to my liking. Needless to say, I like thinking outside the box when it comes to the audio for these mixes. I'm glad you liked it
Our theme song for this year. <object width="425" height="344"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/CUVl_xx1etc&hl=en&fs=1&"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/CUVl_xx1etc&hl=en&fs=1&" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="425" height="344"></embed></object>
Good mix but man people always add weak music to their mixes. We gotta stay hardcore brah. <object width="425" height="344"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/-pdrok3cPaU&hl=en&fs=1&"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/-pdrok3cPaU&hl=en&fs=1&" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="425" height="344"></embed></object> Id expect music to be as hardcore as this, nothing less.
Haha. They're actually a great band. A Rockets video, including any of their music would be quite interesting...
Very cool. I am going to have to see if I can find a "cheap" copy of Vegas to try it. Studio has worked well, but I like to play with new software. I'll have to check out Rammstein I am always looking for new tunes. Thanks CCR!
C'mon dude, you did ask for feedback, good and bad. So obviously you're going to get a few people that didn't like the mix 100%. Its okay. You don't have to quit making videos because some don't like it as much. You can't make everyone like your stuff.
You're right. I did ask for feedback, both good and bad. I guess I should have asked explicitly for tact as well. And for the record, I would have totally made an Othella Harrington mix with dramatic music had I been making videos back then
It's one thing to have someone state they didn't like the music or video quality, or felt that some of the clips didn't sync....that is feedback. Having someone post just to insult someone(drama queens?) just for being excited enough about a team to want to make a highlight video isn't feedback, its being a d-bag. CCR doesn't need people to kiss his butt, he knows we appreciate it and we think he does a bang-up job...I don't blame him a bit for the smart alek remark back at the critic. If more people knew how much work goes into stuff like this, they would more properly appreciate the maker's effort.
