The title of the vid is actually inaccurate, it's actually 11 in 31. 11/31 = .355 points/second (even with 11 in 28, it's .393) 13/33 = .394 points/second On top of that, TMac's shots were under heavy, heavy defense and very difficult conditions. Millsap was completely open for all but the last two. Of course Millsap is not a 3pt shooter so in the miracle category, he might be close. But as far as overall dominance of performance, TMac clearly takes it.
Factoring in Millsap only having 2 three pointers in his entire career prior to that i might have to go with Millsap.
Definitely 13 in 35... The better question is, are yall more happy the Heat lost or more pissed the Jazz won??
both vids are using when their first shot goes through the basket. it's 29 and 35. but who cares...no one in their right mind would say Milsap's was more incredible. They both had 4 shots, and TMac scored two more with no PG helping him and under tremendous pressure, and they only had 1 timeout vs what looked like 2 for Utah. TMac brought the ball upcourt on 3 of those possessions.
t-mac's heroics > millsap's heroics although millsap's was still very impressive. tinman will still find a way to insist that millsap's was better though.
Hmm, not in my opinion. Paul wins this one. Paul, a primary post-up PF, hit three threes in a row. I'm sure he "practices" these for fun, but you wouldn't see him try threes in a game on a normal basis. TMac is a primary scorer, shooting jump shots, etc. Millsap was really only wide wide-open on the first shot.
13 in 35.. tmac was never wide open.. also aaron scored 11 in 27 seconds against portland in 09 playoffs, in a loss though..
No way. T-Mac did the entire thing by himself. There was zero ball movement, it was just t-mac making something out of nothing. Second (and most people forget) the Spurs made EVERY free throw during this stretch. They gave zero margin of error during that stretch. In fact, its almost hard to point out where the Spurs messed up. Even the Spurs defense was great. Bruce Bowen was all over McGrady and he was still making shots. I mean I guess Tim Duncan for fouling T-Mac on the 4 point play but even that was just McGrady making a pump fake and drawing the contact like any good player should. The Heat on the other hand played mediocre defense and let Millsap drop bombs. That said, amazing stretch of play by Millsap but no its not the same as McGrady's run a few years back.
My Rockets bias goes to 13/35. MerGady made it look delicious, plus he pump faked Bowen and got 3 and the 1. This is a question even Obama wouldn't be able to answer. On one hand I get ecstatic for every single loss the Heat gets. While on the other... it's the ****ing Spazz! However I can swallow this since I wouldn't mind Utah winning as many games as possible (not against us) since they don't have a chance for a title anyways. It's a different story with Miami. I get more joy in watching Miami lose than Utah. With Utah's case, it's more of a wish that Kryilenko gets violently injured.
You seem to be equated "improbable" with "incredible." Not really the same thing to most of us here. Milsap's might have been more improbable since he's a PF who doesn't really shoot 3s, but Tmac's was more incredible.
That would be stupid. Shots are always counted from the time the leave the hand, why would you change it for this. 13 in 33 is based on the first shot leaving the hand around 36+ and the final shot is at 3+ remaining. 36-3=33. Millsap is from around 31 remaining to the buzzer, hence 31.
