    Most recent Mike James quotes

" They shoulda done their research on me before trading for me"

" If I'm not what you want, let me go to a team that needs Mike James"

" I don't need everyone to love me, Im sure someone needs Mike James"

" What? You're going to judge me on two bad games? two bad games? "

" My goal is to get 10 assists" oh so what? I need to get 20 assists to be a PG"

" Iv been jackin my whole life, thats what i do how would you trade for me if you didn;t know that"?

" yeah everyones hating on me now but when I got 20 games averaging so and so many points, Iv been consistant, than everyone loves Mike James"

"Look man, If I don't fit this team then get a guy who will pass first. I make plays, I don't pass, I don't shoot I make plays.. If it's a pass, I make it if the shot is there I take it. "

" i will not change, im me, I won't change"

(well can't you change into a PG like Chauncy?)

" No Chauncy has a good team, with 5 guys who can have huge scoring games and theres less preasure on him. With us it's not liek that"

" I need respect, People label me cuz I came out of Duquain and went undrafted so everyone thinks I dont get the respect or don't deserve it. If I was a lotto pick people wouldn't look at me like this and disrespect me like this"

" Iv taken alot of critisism latly but this wasn't happening when those shots were going in"

" Whoever signs me, Whereever I am next season, Im gonna be a terror for the next 5 years, you think this year was good? Watch the next 5 years, Ima be an absolute terror"

*reporter* Well I guess we'll see this summer

" Yeah and IMA be on the golf course And Boxing"

    He's a talker, big deal.

He also said on NBATV that he felt Tracy was the best wing player in the game, and Yao was the best center in the game. So, he obviously respects our stars and wouldn't have as much of a problem deferring to them.

I think Mike James would help us more than Rafer. The only argument in Rafer's favor is that James was on the last season of his contract, and we *might* not have been able to afford to keep him.

He wasn't even playing PG for much of the game, that would be Andre Barret.

For those who don't like his comments, do you know the context?

Yeah, it amuses me how people think it's just a few disgruntled Raptors fans that are complaining about Mike James being a chucker. The fellow is having a career year and he still has to defend himself before the media every other week. If that doesn't give you a hint, I don't know what will.

Even though they have an all star in Bosh and an outstanding rookie in Villanueva whose potential still remains untapped, they're still feeding at the bottom of the NBA food chain. Mike James is like their leading scorer and yet they think he's too much of a chucker and not a true point guard. How else do you explain how he's racking up all these so called assists and points and they're still chronic losers? And people still wonder why we traded him away.

    Yes.

Besides, the only players in the NBA that should be allowed to talk like that are the absolute studs...LeBron, Wade, KG, Kobe, Yao :D , TMac, etc...

Definitely not Mike James. As solid of a player as he is, Im embarassed for him. Listening to him talk like that was painful.

5/25 has gotta hurt, but Bosh might be gone for the season.

He knows what he his, and the stats shows that it works if he has the chance. Unfortunately, more people criticise him for what he isn't.

I remember one game where Toronto lost to NJN. Toronto had a lead and they got it going. It was just near the end and MJ was dribbling far away from three and near the end of shot clock he fired an way outside bombe and it missed. NJ went to win with Carter's bomb from far away. And I was really glad we don't have such an allstar wannabe any more.

On the other hand, I think we could have gotten much more from him then we did.

I think we'll see the true Mike James when he gets his fat contract next summer. If he continues to play big, then good for him, but I'm predicting he'll be like every other player that got that big contract then slacked off.

At least he's honest about only wanting to get paid, though. I'm sure sports fans wouldn't get so pissed off at these rich athletes if they actually said all they care about is money instead of trying to hide it behind a facade of heart and desire...

What's a "fat contract"? 26 of 30 teams only have a MLE and 3 of 4 under the cap teams already have PG's (Hinrich, CP3, Felton). The 4th team with cap room uses Joe Johnson to initiate the offense.

Houston had and Toronto has James' Bird Rights. They can easily offer $6m/year and I'll bet James takes it. James' best case scenario is a SnT netting him ~$7m/yr. That and a little respect is all the guy wants.

yes, just as i would rather lose than to sign a cancer like ron artest, or a flopper like karl malone/dirk nowitzky to the rockets team... winning isnt everything.

and mike james was a good reason why we lost a few games in the playoffs.

This post right here shows exactly why people don't get what the problem with Mike James is.

You really think this is about Mike James having a bad shooting night?
