eventually mcgrady will have to NOT look like everybody else on the court. He will have to start taking more opportunities. It doesn mean he will mess up chemistry.
usually nba teams that have issues with other usually play over 500 in some cases. (trailblazers, shaq and kobe lakers). so maybe a lil media drama would be a good thing to prove that the rockets are a competitive team this year even more.
He did something during the game that wasn't included in the video, in which he blocks melo, then hustles for the rebound but smith gets it for the easy lay in. In was pretty sweet.
T isn't given enough time to show anything. You can't get a substantial rhythm in 7 or 8 mins. of play. RA need to decide soon if he's going to get Mac in the starting lineup and give him those type of minutes. Or put him in the 2nd unit and get limited minutes and the end of quarters. As far as the Tmac and Scola conversation, didn't seem like anything to call home about. Scola said what play? and then they just discussed it. Actually the look on his face look more like he was holding back a huge smile 'cause he was so excited to just be in the game.
We shouldn't judge him on offense because he doesn't even care about his offense. Those short stretches (btw they are TOO SHORT) are for him and the coach to see how his body responds, how he is moving and just to develop chemistry and see what the team is doing. He was not agressive AT ALL. But that's normal. He has looked ok. You can't really say anything from a short stretch.
from what i've seen so far, tmac seems hesitant to jump when being guarded or guarding someone. maybe he still has a ways to go mentally.
yea its mental, but i havent seen mcgrady have an opportunity to do moves that has him jumping near the basket are shooting over his man. I have seen him able to jump while playing defense though.
His passing skills are underrated, one of the best in the league. I think coach should let him play a full quarter to see what he can do.
See I don't think this is true at all.. 1. Supposedly he has worked harder than anybody in the off season with the so called super trainer in Chicago. 2. He say's he has more lift and agility than ever before because of this super trainer. 3. He constantly stated before he got playing time that he was 100% healthy. 4. It's not like Mcgrady has practiced against live bodies ever since he came back from the summer. I think he is as explosive as he will get. If the only thing I would question it would be stamina but he hasn't played enough minutes to show if it needs help.
I forgot to add HE IS A VOLUME SHOOTER!!!!!! He needs the ball in hands to be effective. He needs to take a large number of shots to get into a nice rhythm.. And I believe the coaches feel the same except our current team is great without him hogging the rock.
Not the knock the team on purpose, although they are playing really well for a team with no stars. 14-11 is hardly great.
