Man, I feel bad for Scola, from earning standpoint.

I think Rox pays something like $10M for 3 years, but he had to cough up $3M to buy out his Tau Ceramica contract, confirm?

His Argentina teammates, Delfino, who isn't anywhere as good, signed a deal to play in Russia for $30M for 3 years, so more than 3x the pay for Scola.

Damn, do we get Scola for a bargain? We need to sign him to a big extension after this coming season.

    Feel bad for Scola though.

I think our first concern going into the next offseason is resigning Artest... that is assuming he doesn't go crazy of course. ;)

I'm not so sure, I'd lock Scola up for a long time. He's pretty damn good and one heck of a person. As much as I'm going to enjoy seeing Artest in a Rockets Jersey, Artest is a "ME" person. You never know what your going to get from day to day, or year to year. But it sure is gonna be some fun!

Hey i love Scola, but there is no way you can compare a legitimate all star (Artest) who in my opinion gets shafted every year because of his reputation from the brawl, to Luis. I have a great amount of respect for Scola but i would much rather keep Artest and cut Scola if it came down to it. But since our GM is God Daryl Morey, we will probably retain both of them.

Scola deserves at least a $5-6M per year. Artest will get $8-9M per year. Honestly, retaining both for the long run will be hard, unless Tmac is willing to take paycut, or better yet, Les willing to go over the cap. After 3 years, we will get Scola's Bird right. We have Artest's Bird right already. So Les can go over the cap for these two, if he is willing.

Les will do whatever is right for the team. He is one of the best owners in the league.

Luis is just outstanding. Playing against a team of terrific American NBA stars, he had his way with them. You just have to think he will be a huge part of the Rockets success this season. Pondering seeing him play with a healthy Yao and McGrady, along with Artest, makes me so damned excited!

Sign him to an extension, ASAP!

Wow! Scola looked great out there against team USA. I think he's easily getting overlooked by many of us becuase of the addition of Artest but his improvement and his hustle are definitely a big part of the team taking it to the next level and being contenders.

I think when i pointed about using early bird rights to resign scola at the end of the upcoming season someone pointed me that you cannot extend a contract extension offer to a player with less than 3 years on the nba unless his contract is up.
