When I say put up a fight, I meant the "not in my house" attitude. I didn't expect them to win,but put up a little effort and more importantly not let Lebron get away with clowning on them. Houston got blown out by the Lakers in a few playoff games a few years ago and Artest made a statement each time that his team wouldn't bow down even if they were losing(getting ejected in the first 3 games of the series). In the 80s, someone would have clotheslined Lebron if he tried to clown on his old team in an emotional game like that....players seem to have lost that.

...as for the choking thing - I really do believe that's a function of coaching and lack of leadership. Gasol and Odom BOTH were known as choke artists before coming to LA and both have stepped up big time when their team needed them. Confidence is something that your coaches and stars bring to the team. Cleveland lacked that in both areas. Mike Brown was not the coach, and Lebron was not the player. Mo Williams and Antawn Jamison were just pawns in that game.

now you clearly know why lebron left. he had to do so much to help the cavs achieve what they did, but that won't be enough in the playoffs.

great teams have to be able to play without their star/#1 player to be considered a great team. the lakers can play without kobe. the spurs can play without duncan. the magic can play without howard.

the cavs are just terrible.

 

what a disappointment mo williams is.

you would think a guy who has taken much of the blame for the cavs failures in the playoffs would come out with some fire and really try to show his doubters but he shoots 2-8

 

Mo Williams and Antawn Jamison really showed their stuff in this game. I'm quite surprised this game wasn't closer with 2 powerhouse allstars like them on the Cavs.

 

James had a really solid mid/long-range game. I think his mid-range game has really improved, but I doubt he can score 40 consistently relying on his jump shot all night, or even 25, for that matter.
