Thanks for uploading, great memories. A Craig Roberts sighting is a plus too! :p

Btw, what did you use to upload your VHS to the computer?

Darn! I thought it was going to be a clip of when the news team went down to richmond to catch all the fans driving out there and some girl flashed her breasts on live TV.

I still have my Double Clutch book published by the Houston Chronicle, my Rockets VS Magic Finals shirt which doesn't fit me anymore, and a black shirt that has the Rockets logo with the 2 championships sitting in the back ground.

Well there was a couple of ways I could have done it. One was recording it to DVD (I've got one of those dual VHS-DVD machines I almost never use) and then simply uploading to the computer (then YouTube). The second option was use an analog capture card from the VCR to the computer directly (the problem with that is it takes longer and interferes with working on the computer).

I went with option three, a relatively newer device that's simple and easy: the iConvert video recorder (I got it online, but I believe it's sold through Brookstone). I picked it up back in November and have got a ton of use out of it; the video quality isn't spectacular (sorry about that; wish it was a little crisper), but neither is VHS in general.

I've also used that iConvert to record directly from TV (rarely) and let it run for hours in another room converting a ton of family videos on those old Hi-8 tapes. Records straight to the 8GB SD card.

Now I have access to these things again!

Yeah! I'm sure we'd love to see some more clips from those days too if you can upload them. :)

((LOL))) I remember the commercial with the guy on the ledge. That was very funny and exactly how i remember the city feeling back in those days.

These days you always hear the generic answer "It doesn't matter who we play next." Hakeem said "I want to play New York." You just knew he was dying to tear up Ewing and get his revenge, and revenge he got.

That's the common characteristic among the greatest players, Jordan, Hakeem, Kobe, Bird always made it personal. They wanted to beat down everyone else.

Me too. They had those great dramatic promos before the games and then would cut to the theme music. Gave me goosebumps every time.

Does anyone remember the follow up to the ledge commercial, where Giff Nielsen catches the anvil and goes "Choke City? I don't think so"

the people who hate barkley are people who hate his 'analysis' of the Rockets on TNT. I seriously doubt that 10% of the Barkley haters are those who thought we were going to be better with the same squad that lost to seattle in 4 games.

The Robert Horry at PF had a weakness when it comes to an athletic Shawn Kemp. Kemp does the same thing Horry does except he was more athletic (at that time).

Adding Barkley gave us an advantage that we lost when Otis left, which was inside rebounding and buckets.

Oh and for the people who actually were Rockets fans during that Barkley era, we all knew he played his butt off, one game he had 33 rebounds.

The weak link in all of this is that we lost Cassell and we had made a scrub in Maloney into the point guard.

I am anxious see what kind of shape the tapes are in. I am fairly certain that I recorded them with network video, but patched Gene and Jim in for the Audio. The ONLY way to watch the finals that year.
