Guess what? We lost too. But that doesn't mean we can't talk about how good Martin looks in the offense even though he shot like somebody who only played 7 minutes a game a few times. It's only natural to compare to two for now, especially since we lost also, to a worst team. It'll stop once we get a few wins and Martin drops 40+.

Martin will come around, takes awhile to get comfortable in a new situation. He was cramping up, his wrist may not be 100%, but in time, he will return to form. He does many things well, he will help. Yes, the team misses Landry, but they will get over it. The bad news, I don't expect the Rockets to win many games for the rest of the season. We are lottery-bound.

Rockets Lost, Kings Lost and Knicks lost. One game... if Martin had a good game people would be saying it's one game. Hey... it's still one game. We scored 115 points as a team we shouldn't be giving up 125 points. Is that Rockets basketball?

That's Adelman basketball, he's officially turned us into the new Kings all (offense no defense).

Darn, when I first saw you posting yesterday your post count was 4. Every single post I've seen since then have been pro-McGrady rants/trolling.

What makes it so frustrating is management(Adelman) made it as if he couldn't contribute anymore as for reasoning for not playing him.

Even though Boozer and management seem to of had issues, they didn't let that get in the way of not playing him where he couldn't help the team.

Now were outside looking in at the playoffs in which Martin wasn't even available until the last minute, which means we could have just been stuck with Hill, jeffries, and Armstrong.

    Tracy McGrady.

Question for all you T-mac lovers...how much did I care?

    Not worth a flying ****.

He doesn't play for us anymore...lots of players on other teams are going to have better games than Kevin Martin, and I don't want to have to answer that question every time it happens. Guess what? Even if McGrady puts up 20 ppg the rest of the season, this was STILL a hell of a deal.

Clyde: "that's called makin a shot"

Brilliant insight by Drexler, that's why they pay him the big bucks.

McGrady was frustrating not Adelman. As he was he couldn't contribute.

McGrady wasn't supposed to be finished with his rehab until late Janauary. The guy kept on harping about being ahead of schedule and ready to play. The way he looks on the court between those 7 games and now are day and night.

If anything being forced to complete his rehab instead of trying to prove a point on the court too early has helped.

    That made sense.

Yeah, Martin traveled, but it was along the lines of the Lebron James crab dribble thingie which is probly why the refs didnt call it. He only needed to dribble it one more time as he was doing his spin(not before) and it would have been fine. They did hit him for a travel a bit later on.

But its funny how posting Martin's first shot as a Rocket degenerated into T-Mac's game as a knick(logical tangent but still) and "Adelman's" lack of defense(as if Elston Turner and TR Dunn are slackers in that department). I mean, how many posts are about Martin and how many are about the other stuff not related to the topic??

I guess some fans doesn't really know basketball and understand the full concept of it.

Worst trade in franchise history? This trade is probably one of the better trades than we had in the past. By giving up only Carl Landry, (either way, doesn't matter how good Tmac is) he don't want to be in Houston so any trade with Tmac is a plus to the Rockets. The Rockets acquire one of the most efficient scorers in the NBA.

Kevin Martin not only shoots well, but he doesn't force up bad shots like Tracy. Sure Tmac when healthy is a much better player, Kevin Martin brings more to the table and fits into the Rockets system much better than Tmac, Andre Iggy, and Caron Butler. That's why the Rockets went after Kevin Martin because of his style and playing off the ball.

Plus Kevin Martin is a decent distributor. By only giving up Landry and Tmac, the Rockets were able to get a very high efficient scorer in the shooting guard position, a big PF/Center and young high potential prospect in Jordan Hill plus a two first round picks along with Jeffries and Armstrong. Out of that three team deal, the Rockets got the best of them.

All the Knicks got was Tmac and Sergio (some big cap relief next season) and the Kings got Carl Landry, a good post player but not a go to guy like Kevin Martin. Plus Kevin Martin and Carl Landry are pretty much around the same age so Kevin Martin has a bit more upside than Carl. Sure the Rockets would miss the post presence in Carl Landry, if Jordan Hills develop into the player the Rockets hope him to, he can fill that spot for Carl nicely.

Not to mention, we actually get a post presence back next season.

Had we not gotten Kevin Martin in this deal, we'd probably be stuck with Ariza playing SG next season.

Nobody said Tmac was forcing the issue, he was clearly showcasing his game. He has always been a great facilitator and scorer and that is exactly what he showcased last night. Everyone's question is, is this sustainable? I am leaning towards NO. Tmac is damaged goods, I don't think Jesus would be able to heal his injuries.
