If that's the case, which it probably will be, I'd feel REAL sorry for Knicks fans, lol. First Isiah Thomas made them scream FML for the first decade of the new century with their money, then Walsh made them yell FML for the second decade of the new century with draft picks.... Who knows what kind of FML to come to the Knicks come 2020s? Poor Knicks fans, lmfao.

At worst we will finally have a physical F/C off the bench... which we have lacked for a LONG time...

I have to say - this has been one of the best parts of the season for me - watching Hill under a microscope. It's has had me so excited that I'm running through plays in slow motion to watch his defensive rotations, footwork, etc. He's pretty surprising - I was sure he was going to be a stiff but he isn't that bad. He looks like he could be a decent bench player at worst and likely a solid contributor off the bench in the near future. I'm still not sure what his ceiling is...maybe a poor man's Otis Thorpe. The kid still seems to be trying to figure it all out which means he's moldable so Houston has a little play to push him in a direction the team could find more useful.

He still has some problems though with spacing and seems to follow the ball more than his man on defense - especially in transition. I would like to see him use his length better to contest shots and some better recognition and positioning when he needs to "show" as a help defender(both on the screener and off the ball as backside help) when opponents run pick and rolls. The hands are something he should be working on too(definitely something Thorpe never had a problem with)...but overall he isn't as raw as I initially thought and I can totally see how D'antoni wouldn't value some of the skills Hill brought to the table. He should get better at all those negatives with some consistent minutes(15-20 minutes a night is perfect) if he has half a brain.

....the thing I like most about Hill though is that he brings some sorely needed length to the team and gives Adelman more flexibility with his matchups. If Hill continues to develop, we could have one of the deepest teams in the league come next year when we have a full healthy lineup.

    1) nice touch
    2) young cat is STRONG

    3) knicks are trash. talk about mismanagement, you have this young man on the bench while the team is in the gutter....

Really wonder why he got no minutes in NYC. Anyone have any insight on this? I can see him not getting quality time with the number of big men they have, but no time just makes no sense. Kid is raw but with his athletic talent why not develop him, at least even for trade bait (because he seems like a steal so far given the picks as well).

Wonder if there are any D'antoni interviews on this. Never thought he was a bad coach.

I am checking this thread from my itouch so I did not see the video. That being said, I was pleasantly surprised by hill's team defense on tonight. That is the major thing I watch when I watch rookies in the NBA. Hill always seemed to be in the right spot on defense. He was able to show and still get back on his man in pick n roll defense. He was very impressive.

He just looks he has so much potential in him. the sky is the limit for him. he can one day be a 16 and 11 player. we just need to keep him around. i hate to see him be included in a trade in the offseason.

All Jordan Hill needs is a right coach, he is lucky to play for Adelman.
