Got to agree with you here Cuddie. I am no Tracy fan, at all. I loved him in the 04-05 season and he has done some really nice things for Houston as mentioned throughout the forum today. Basically t-mac has a good, bad, and ugly side to him while he was here. It's just that the bad outweighed the good.
Tracy didn't really say anything questionable in this interview. Seems he genuinely cared for Houston to some extent, or at least the players and the team. It seems any notion of us thinking that he burned bridges and threw everyone under the bus was just because of his public quarrel with Rick Adelman. It makes sense though, Tracy wasn't going to go anywhere in Houston with the Rick Adelman offense (if he actually listened to Rick and ran the offense... oh, what could have been) and the fans of Houston just stopped caring about him. The way he left seemed more like a rebellious act against Rick rather than his stabbing his teammates in the back. That being said, he's really bad at managing his PR, but nothing I've heard or seen really tells me that he's a bad guy. He might be mentally fragile, but in my opinion he never really did anything that seemed inherently evil. Such as what LeBron did in Cleveland.
I'll bet you a dollar to donuts that come trade deadline or playoff roster deadline, Tracy and his agent are going to be doing everything they can to get to Orlando for a playoff run.
