Could you imagine what the Miami Heat fans are saying about Chuck Hayes?

Hard to work up any annimosity to Tim Thomas or the Clippers on the injury. Chuckie Hays was setting up to take a charge, Thomas went up, came down, crash. I blame it on Shane Battier. This last week all the Rocks have been playing Battier ball. Chuckie was hustling in overdrive to get the charge, and aw f...., disaster.

Kidding about blaming Shane. The fact that all the Rockets were emulating Shane this last week, ( except Yao, who was channeling Wilt Chamberlin ) was wonderful, and had me hopefull of a stand out year.

The Rocks course during the next two months should be to play as hard as they can, expect to lose a lot of games anyway, but use it as extended, real time training in Van Gundy ball. Everybody trained and playing great shut down team defense. Including Spanolus and the white kid who used to be able to shoot three pointers in college but can't anymore. Everybody play Van Gundy defense and Battier Ball.

On offense, everybody learn their plays and their place ( Spacing ). Also, two months should be enough time for The Bonz to play at top speed for 48 minutes and then run 26 miles home. Use Bonz in the post and run the regular offense, with some adaptation for the missing MVP in the middle.

Whether or not McGrady ever plays well again, the Rocks should be a lean, mean, Red unformed, Chinesse MVP supporting machine when Yao comes back.
