    Melo doesn't come here,it's not Morey's error;
    Bosh doesn't come here,it's not Morey's error;
    Let Parsens go, it's not Morey's error;
    But Morey doesn't do anything, it's Morey's mistake!
    He can trade Asik for Ariza, and he can sign Lance in free agent or using Lin's TPE, but he wouldn't do anything

    This was stupid....the only f-tard is this guy and his followers. If he can't understand why in the blue moon hell Morey didn't match chandler parsons overpaid offer then he just needs to do the world a favor and concentrate on having a normal sex life because it looks like he's a virgin in his moms basement

    Morey will be a genius again whenever he lands someone out of the blue, etc.

    Probably one of our own members, tried to throw scent off the trail with that Chicago theme background. Not falling for it though.

    Trading Asik to New Orleans was a dumb @$$ move. All Morey did was just push Davis into super star status. The kid was already a beast. Now he has Asik to do the dirty work for him.

    Or family of that poor guy. He doesn't even do this for a job. Actually makes that [PFFT] Pro Football Talk (or whatever it is that we get links to on the football side) look professional.

    Adding Asik to NO roster does not make them any better or thrust Davis to Superstar status. If Davis gonna be a Superstar he is going to be a Superstar with or without Asik.

    Lets allow the season to play out first Remii.

    Hornets and Mavs have both improved. So have the Nuggets and Suns. West will be tougher, but we'll be better as well. Ariza is a great fit. We definitely need another playmaker though.

    Only time in history that a GM gets bashed for moving two players with super...(like history of sports bad) awful owner unfriendly contracts for basically nothing.

    -The Bulls had to give away two second rounders to get rid of a contract
    -The Cavs had to get rid of a 1st rounder and some really good young players to move a contract
    -Golden State last Summer had to move 2 picks to move 2 large expiring contracts

    If you traded two 15 million dollar contracts for basically a pick swap with Pelicans this next year than I think under most circumstances that's a great deal.

    The fact that he came out of the Lin/Asik trades with positive value assets is pretty amazing.

    Also- Lin & Asik's role & responsibilities can be replaced in the NBA. Both players were instrumental over the past few years but lets be honest... both of their roles were likely to decrease dramatically next year anyway. The team wanted Canaan to get Lin's minutes and were going to trade him anyways.

    Asik was going to need to leave either way or you were going to deal with two things-
    -An atomic bomb in the locker room & stress dealing with Asiks agent
    -losing Asik for nothing next Summer

    That deal alone stands to be reviewed later on when we see how Lin/Asik's replacement players perform with given opportunity. Lets please view this as a separate transaction.

    .............................................................

    However- People aren't. People are viewing this as part of the Parsons situation, and the losses in free agency.

    First off- Years ago, we would never have known how close the Rockets were to landing Bosh. We live in the Twitter era where there are leaks everywhere, and you get to witness everything front and center.

    The Rockets were always going to long-shots in the free agency. Dwight Howard leaving was an anomaly not the rule. Also- Now seeing where Bosh's motivations lie (basically coasting the rest of his NBA days in South Beach), the Rockets, had they landed Bosh, would have ended up with a good player, but there was a high risk of them getting a player that wouldn't come close to playing up to the standard of their contract. I loved the idea of Bosh on this team as much as anyone, but motivation has to be a factor in signing a player on a contract of that magnitude.

    In the end years later when people think about it (and if Bosh declines over the next year or two), people might actually think the Rockets scored in not signing Bosh. Going back, of course I would do the signing 100 times out of 100, but now seeing Bosh's motivations makes me think that maybe things happened (or didn't happen there for a reason)

    ....................................................................

    The Parsons situation- I have a feeling this is something that is going to continue to be a huge talking point for years and years to come. Especially if Parsons does have a breakout year statistically in Dallas. It will be right up there with the Harden trade.

    I'm not going to sugar coat it.... the situation's conclusion absolutely sucked and put this team back a few steps just as the Harden situation took OKC a few major steps back.

    The main problem I have with Morey on this is they should have had the foresight to see this coming and dealt him while they had control. You can't lose an asset like him for nothing. Sam Presti knew this and made sure to get a nice coupe while Harden had major trade value. However OKC got K. Martin, Steven Adams, and Jeremy Lamb.

    If you look at it another way, you could say the Rockets got Trevor Ariza. Not sure if Ariza is a better coupe than what OKC got back, but I would say that he addresses bigger needs for the Rockets than the assets that OKC got back did at least in the first 2 years.

    OKC was wrong to trade Harden. Morey letting Parsons walk is only going to be justified years (not just weeks) later. If Parsons lives up to his own standard he is setting for himself than its a huge miss Morey made.

    However I would end my thoughts with this- The only way you can really have a major beef with Morey about this off-season is if you think Parsons really is that 3rd star. Every other move made was pretty logical even if you didn't like it at first glance.

    So the question looming over the next few years is..... Did Morey let a superstar walk in Parsons?

    Your insight is short sighted. Asik made our roster better. Didn't he...? We would have never made it to the playoffs without him.

    You don't trade Asik within the division. That's dumb.

    What???? We had a well above .500 without him this season, so what are you talking about Remii? Go look at the record without him. And you are wrong, we would have still made the playoff's.

    This is not the 1st time and it most definitely won't be the last time a team trade a player within the division. Every team has done that sir.

    I'm talking about the year before we got Howard Sir Baller. And Asik was a one man army on the boards and you know it. He would out rebound other teams front court and had players like Delfino playing the 4 (now he has Davis). We would have never made it to the playoffs without him that year.

    Davis & Asik _ that's one of the best front courts in the NBA. I'm not saying they're a playoff team but it makes our division harder.

    Our goal is to be better than San Antonio and hence the rest of the nba, not New Orleans, not Dallas, and not Memphis, that's the end game.

    The only guys in this chess match are the Spurs, Thunder and Clippers, they're the only other teams with a strong enough core to tweak themselves into a conference and title win.

    Some teams still want good seeding position in the playoffs. Some teams still want home court advantage in the playoffs. And when you make teams in your division stronger _ that makes that goal harder to achieve.

    But I get your point though.

    Parsons could be the new Rashard Lewis.
