You guys forget so easily how good Lowry is.
He carried the Rockets during the early part of the season when Scola and Martin were still sucking it up.
Having a guy like Dragic is an amazing luxury. I would have him play the Ginobili/Harden role but only if we can lure in a big time free agent to make us legit contenders.

In my mind, I don't think management thinks Lowry vs Dragic in terms of keeping them around. I actually think it's Martin vs Dragic because Lee/Lowry/Gogi have the ability to play with each other based on matchups.

Dragic and Lee for approx the same contract as Lowry would be amazing.

Trade Martin and pick for higher pick or better player.

    It's so easy, ain't it?

Your proposal, it's not going to happen. You're never going to get equal value for Martin . The time to make that trade would've been at the end of last season. Too late now.

As far as Dragic/Lowry, you can't keep both. Gogi has showed he can be a starter on any NBA team. He's going to start. Whether it's here or elsewhere.

Yeah i think he's had some really high and low totals, so when averaged out it works out. Personally, i don't think it's a real weakness either, but it's the only thing people go after in his game. He looks out of control when he isn't, so that doesn't help.

It's easier for other guys to get their rhythm playing with Goran , than with Lowry. Being carried by Lowry is not a good thing. He's not a player you can, or should, depend on like that.

Actually, when Goran has higher turnover games, he more often than not maintains an acceptable assist to turnover ratio (eg. 14/6, 13/5, 10/5). As a starter, he only has one high turnover game with a ratio that wasn't around or above 2:1.

On the other hand, Lowry has plenty of games with high turnovers (as many as 8) where he barely had the same number of assists - and in some cases had fewer.

If either of our point guards can go a little out of control at times, I think it's Kyle.

Man, I was hoping someone else was watching the games.....it seems that people are severely over rating Kyle.

Kyle is good, has been really good, but Dragic has been GREAT....there is not much comparison, IMO, if you have to pick one, it is Dragic, every day of the week and twice on Sundays.

Just so it's clear, I don't share this opinion entirely.

All things considered, I favor Dragic for this team. In terms of raw production, I feel I could make (and have made) a case that Dragic has been superior in a starting role, but by no means do I feel it's a landslide.

I'd be happy with either guy at the helm, but with Lowry under contract and representative of a more known commodity, it only makes sense to move him for something significant and ink Dragic to a new deal.

Good point...i've been so high on Dragic that I think I'm trying to find flaws in is game that aren't there to soften the hit of losing him.

I love this guy so much. I haven't had this much fun watching the Rockets all season.
