In case people are interested, a lot of these games actually have been remade, or had sequels. Though not always the best results.

I remember being pretty excited when they announced the new one a while back. Then they turned it into a multiplayer FPS game. And not a very good one IIRC.

They are doing a new 2D Rayman:
    http://www.joystiq.com/2010/06/14/rayman-origins-in-development-from-michel-ancel-is-2d-and-beaut/

Also remaking this. Even has keyboard cat:
    <object width="640" height="385"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/CrqaAidbkfo&hl=en_US&fs=1&"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/CrqaAidbkfo&hl=en_US&fs=1&" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="640" height="385"></embed></object>

There was a NARC remake-that-turned-into-a-sequel a few years ago I think (PS2/XBX?). Wasn't very good IIRC.

When the Spyhunter movie came out with The Rock, they put out a new game I think.

Ultimate Ghosts 'n Goblins for the PSP was something like this I think. But...PSP.

I'm actually more or less OK with FFT as it stands. Doesn't really need a remake. Maybe a new translation (like done with the PSP port), but don't think it needs a remake.

Now a new FFT console game...

Fate of Atlantis was really good IMO. But yeah, outside of that, not so much.

    Anyway, I'll thrown in EVO:
    <object width="480" height="385"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/ckxvSr0qW88&hl=en_US&fs=1&"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/ckxvSr0qW88&hl=en_US&fs=1&" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="480" height="385"></embed></object>
Guess Spore sort of counts, but I'd rather have something a bit more like EVO (but update graphics, gameplay, etc.).

Don't know if it needs it, but the Chrono Trigger fan remake (Chrono Trigger Resurrection) always looked great to me:
    <object width="480" height="385"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/vxxwZSafh3E&hl=en_US&fs=1&"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/vxxwZSafh3E&hl=en_US&fs=1&" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="480" height="385"></embed></object>
Then Square-Enix ruined it...and never even bothered to do a new game or anything.

Might think of more later. I'd say FF7, but that would take 30-40 years, so why bother.

I agree with the Dragon Force, great game. Did you ever play Guardian Heroes on the Saturn?

Those 2 games were my favorite on the Saturn.

Yep! I still own both and pulled them out today after I posted this thread. Sadly, I lost my copy of Iron Storm in Ike...but I still have the case and the .iso is easily had (hey, I owned it, I figure I have a right to a backup). My Saturn is in rough shape. I downloaded an emulator today and it actually started up Dragon Force. Still, wouldn't mind an update.

There was a sequel to Dragon Force that came out in Japan that never got ported over. link

Oh man, another Guardian Heroes fan. Why did it have to be the Titan Troll?

Anyway, I didn't realize it, but a sequel was released in 2004 for the Game Boy Advance called Advance Guardian Heroes.

Bionic Commando, but honestly I just want to hear that wicked background music. Way to beef up a middling side-scroller at the tail end of the 8-bit era.

    Wouldn't mind a Chrono Trigger/Cross remake.

Would love any FF remake. We've seen the re-releases with some extra scenes, but nothing really added to the game. Still love playing the originals. Same goes for the Zelda series.

A remake of Ultima IV and V using the Dragon Age engine would be very nice.

The funniest thing about the game is that they never released a movie. We have a video game for a movie never made. It's like an alternative universe game.

This game is still golden. Doesn't need a remake. Played it yesterday, and it still holds up.

    Great game, but better then...

Hell even the TMNT and the Power Rangers were better.

But really think they need a new

Why do people keep mentioning Bionic Commando? It was already remade, and it was awesome.

    Sequel coming out!
