To each his own. I'm by no means an expert or anything close. But MW on veteran was a challenge. A beatable challenge but a challenge.
I got to the Shredder a few times on the first NES game, but the only way I could beat that game was with a Game Genie. I didn't beat the first Super Mario Bros until my freshman year in college. Some games I could never beat (I later beat them thanks to emulators): Bionic Commando (NES) UN Squadron (SNES) Zelda 2 (NES) Double Dragon 3 (NES) A couple of games I wanted to beat just to see how the story played out but got bored of playing: Tomb Raider 3 (PS1) Transformers (PS2)
I don't know ANYONE whose beaten it. ANYONE. Haven't beaten a few games due to me not caring...but these games haunt me: Ghouls N' Ghost on NES Ninja Gaiden II (on 360) Proud to have beaten Street Fighter II World Warriors on 8 stars. There are others, but this is the only one that came to me as an incredible feat.
I think you are supposed to max out all four turtles on those scroll weapons. I just never had the patience to do that.
Mega Man X I always get to the guy with the dog. I beat the dog, kill the guy, and then I can never get passed the head with one little life bar!
FF8-XII never beaten. Beaten 8 all the way to the boss and then just quit. Never really have the time/patience to finish them anymore. Don't really have any games I'm proud to have beaten.
Try Call of Duty 2 on veteran, it will blow your mind and probably take you a few months to beat. I was just pointing out that MW1 is the 2nd easiest of the series behind MW2
I had this game and like you said, it was ridiculously hard. I'm not even sure I got near the end. Also, the NES game Mission Impossible is, well, impossible to beat. There is no way a normal human being could beat that game without reading some guide.
Might have to try it...but I've never been much on the WWII games. Or I just haven't given that genre much of a chance.
COD 2 was a classic, definitely the best WWII game of it's generation (they don't make that many WWII games anymore). It is just so damn frustrating
I made it to the boss on both Final Fantasy 9 and 12 and died on the first attempt. In both cases I've never tried again. I don't really know why.
I think I've beaten like one NES game, TMNT3. And I must've played 20+ games on it. My biggest regret was never been able to beat Mario 1. I don't know how many hours I've spent on that game, and keep dying on the last world(not even the final dungeon. NES gave me such horror with difficulty, that I've shied away from hard games ever since.
Three Games That may Burn in Hell 3. Spiderman and X-Men in Arcade's Revenge Most notably the Wolverine stage fighting Juggernaut. Making a five year old cry and hate his life due to the fact that his love for X-men was being overshadowed by this sh**** game might not have been LJN plans, but by god you would have never know it. 2. Battletoads- Playing with 2 players on the Wind tunnel stage This stage made my cry when I was little but it was not the game's fault. Playing this with my older brother and having him yelling at me because this stage depends on precise motions by both players. Later in life finding out that this stage is hard for adults made me feel a little bit better. 1. Super-Punch Out I have never beaten the boss. I know that the last two bosses are two bald guys, and have only seen the first once. Now I love this game and still one of the exclusive games I still play on my Snes, but it's impossible. To anybody who has beaten it I bow to you. Fu** the last bosses.
8 Eyes is easily as suicidally hard as TMNT on the NES was, it's just that fewer people have heard of it. You'd have to be superhuman to have beaten it without game genie. The only game on PS1 or beyond that I can think of off the top of my head that I couldn't beat was Dark Cloud 2. Logged probably 90 hours, but one of the bosses towards the end was just crazy. I still have my WIP save file, I always think maybe I'll go back and level-up some more and try to beat it. Of course, I never beat plenty of other games just from losing interest.
I was supposedto, but there's a glitch after like 500 levels where the computer code that generates the fruit ****s up half the screen, as such most remakes of the original end it there. But if you have play the original arcade version it goes on forever.
