got my $25 gift card at Toys R Us and played the game for a few hours today. love it. i dont play GTA so the control scheme and combat are giving me a hard time. i keep getting my ass killed and having to restart at a save i made like an hour before. knowing who to shoot takes some time. ive killed so many innocents and wellwishers. hunting seems like an efficient way to get money. poker... ehh $50 bucks for running the table? took longer than it was worth for just $50.
Just got it...paid 50.00 for a taxi to take me to a GameStop with game....smh now I got to play in SD...so tempted to go and buy a 19 inch LCD just to play game on while Im out here
I'm loving the game so far. The only problem I have is that it seems like I have TOO MUCH to do. I have a treasure map, there are wanted posters I haven't checked out, I have to kill some rabbits for a sharp shooting challenge, I have the Sheriff and Rancher Woman that I can do quests for, I can play poker, and I'm supposed to help some guy buy a ranch. I've only played for a little over an hour. The one technical issue I have is that the servers from rockstar that you enter the code into to get the pre-order bonus aren't working. I've entered the code but it can't connect to the server, and it tells me to try again later.
I know, I just feel like I have to. The cool thing is that on the way to any one of these missions I'll stumble across even more. It seem limitless. That's a pretty cool feeling for a game.
I've been playing this bad boy for 6 hours now and i've enjoyed it so far, can't keep my hands off the controller actually xD multiplayer seems to be having a few weird bug issues but i'm sure that will be sorted out in no time. a 60 bucks well spent IMO
<br> That is literally the most backwards logic I have ever heard. Why would selling less copies of a game make more people sell them back?? <br> On topic: I really want to buy either this or Alan Wake. I couldn't stand GTAIV, but San Andreas was one of my all time favorite games. Tough decision :/
I just finished the campaign earlier. I would recommending playing through the single player first before free roaming all over in multiplayer. It takes the surprise out of the story if you've seen the environments and settlements beforehand, but that's just my opinion.
I buy a video game about once a year. It looks like this is the one to get for 2010. I love games that have a cinematic feel to them.
I am holding off on that, I may give the game to my oldest son and he may want to have the warhorse. DD
Is there a GTA equivalent of 'calling a taxi' in this game? Having to ride my horse for long distances to get to my destination is starting to become a pain in the ass.
Now I've got a few thousand from bounties and hunting but nothing to spend it on. I think maybe once I get to the next town, I'll have more options. Haven't even explored south of the river yet. I wish the radar was better. Sometimes you'll be riding along and hear vague gunshots and people yelling but there's no visual signs and nada on the radar.
This game is all sorts of awesome. I think I spent most of my time yesterday just playing poker. lol Open world feels really cool, and the landscapes are awesome.
Same...Ive spent more time at the poker table than doing the missions. I want to play some blackjack too.
There is the stage coach at various places. You can use that to fast travel. You can also get out of town and make camp. From there you can fast travel anyplace you've already been.
