Yeah, Ive heard from a good number of people that Saints Row 2 is the way to go...Ive either hesitated on getting it or Ive had other games that were higher on the list. I may give it a shot if there is ever a dry spell in games being released.
I'm not sure if this applies to all Gamestops but Canadian Gamestops are giving Red Dead Revolver when you pre order Red Dead Redemption from Gamestop. So when you get the game you're getting Red Dead Remption and Revolver in case.
Just saw another trailer for the game. It makes me even more excited about it than I was before. http://www.rockstargames.com/videos/#/video:4191
sunset riders was sick! my gf is really excited for this, I hadn't watched any trailers on it. it looks fairly cool. I may have to try it out.
If you liked that... you would've loved this <embed src="http://blip.tv/play/hOxKgY3qZwI%2Em4v" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" width="480" height="350" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true"></embed>
awesome, haha. I loved that cartoon. but um the G.O.A.T.: <object style="height: 344px; width: 425px"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/MzPlGJ85jCM"><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"><param name="allowScriptAccess" value="always"><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/MzPlGJ85jCM" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowfullscreen="true" allowScriptAccess="always" width="425" height="344"></object>
How everyone liking the multiplayer trailer? Looks awesome, but I said the same about GTA's multiplayer and it didn't turn out to be as engaging long term. We'll see if Rockstar learned from it and added whatever it is that they needed to in order to make it fun for a while.

It does look cool. My only hesitation is that I've never really done multiplayer with these types of games, and never using xbox. I don't want to do it, and have a 13 year old kid yelling at me for being a noob, because I don't know the latest strategy that he learned from a cheat, or walkthrough website. I just want to have fun and get into the spirit of the game.
Yo DD, legit question here. When you do the facial animation for a game like RDR, that's supposed to look as realistic as possible. Do you use motion capture, or is it like a painstaking frame by frame kinda process?
We block out the scene on a mocap stage, then we capture body movement, facial performance and audio at the same time. The Rockstar guys do full peformance capture, they are one of the few video game companies that have made that leap, all their stuff is like that, RDR, GTA4, the new Max Payne everything. DD
Nice, I knew that GTA4 had to have a-lot of MoCap, just the way the characters moved, it was pretty obvious.
On RDR, they even brought in horses, to show their movements as more true. Most game companies are looking at full performance capture, they all use mocap for body, but now they are looking at doing it all at once. It is the smart thing to do and the performances are more true as the actors get to play off each other and that generates a more believable scene. Even if you are talking animals, you can still get the essence of the performance this way. DD
This game looks amazing. It comes out the same day as Alan Wake and a couple days before Mario Galaxy 2. With those 3 and Metroid: Other M, the whole summer should be set. All in all, this looks like it'll be a STRONG contender for GOTY. That's quite a feat for a year with so many great games coming out.
